Seriously, it has gotten to a point where it's hard to tell the songs apart. :D

If they changed their sound the fans would revolt and they wouldn’t sell.

Not that it matters Much at this point....

Lots of bands stay true to their sound without essentially releasing the same 3 songs over and over for 20 years. :D

Some times you just want the same 3 songs over and over, haha.

Some of these bands can take their evolution and shove it.

I'll be honest. I'm a Bon Scott guy.

I haven't really liked an AC/DC album since Back in Black. That was pretty much the pinnacle of Brian Johnson's involvement in the band and it's been pretty much downhill from there for me.

As for the song, there only one Shot In The Dark. :D

Your right. There mid 80s stuff was kinda meh.

But the 90s Albums I liked a lot. Razors Edge, Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip

The last couple have been meh.

Bon Scott was nothing short of being one the first RockNRoll badasses. Which is also why he is dead.

Fucking animal who only sang about bitches, rock n roll, and being a bad ass.

And as much of a fucking badass as Angus is, Malcom wrote most of the songs and is probably the best rock n roll rhythm guitar player to have ever lived.

I heard this played on a Octane yesterday. I thought why are they playing an old AC/DC song on this station? You literally can’t tell if this is from 1980 or 2020.

Here’s how Angus Young reacted to the criticism regarding the sound of AC/DC album:

“I’m sick to death of people saying we’ve made 11 albums that sound exactly the same. In fact, we’ve made 12 albums that sound exactly the same.”

:D: I don’t care.. I love it...

AC/DC songs are like Bourne movies. They're entertaining, but pretty much all the same. This new song could have been on any album they've cut over the past 40 years.

But there's something to be said for consistency. :thumb:

The Ultimate Sin was in a bundle of CDs I got this week. Most of the package was early 90's stoner/doom and a couple of power metal bands. And then Ozzy.

The funny thing is, in the liner notes for the album, 5 tracks are credited to Jake E. Lee. 3 other tracks are credited to J. Williams, aka Jake Williams, aka Jake E. Lee.

I heard a little bit of several songs but I seemed to get a strong vibe of "Highway to Hell" at times.

That's the best part about it.

I had a discussion w/ a friend of mine about that. He hates AC/DC because they sound too much like AC/DC.

I mean...isn't that kinda the point? I mean sure, the songs all sound fairly similar, but who gives a shit? The worst thing rock bands do is try to act like they're these polished crooners who need to occasionally throw out a love song or some stupid power ballad.

Be you. Not EVERYONE can be the Stones, who have a half dozen different sounds that all sound roughly like the Stones and are still awesome.

Last night during the game, they played this a few times going in/out of commercials and said they were going to be on Good Morning Football this morning (I didn't see it). Maybe a potential run-up to a Super Bowl halftime appearance?
They've gone with more mainstream pop stuff the past several years...maybe time for a return to rock.

I never in my life heard them play any pop music... The closest thing they ever had to a ballad is Ride on... Maybe just maybe Mistress For Christmas fits what your talking about..

ACDC playing the SB would be awesome!!

Surprisingly it sounds like a damn ACDC song, and it actually sounds pretty good. I don't even like the band, but this was super nice to see a band stick to their roots and sound and not totally ruin the sound that got them there.

They just may play the SB this year. Brian had on a NFL jacket. Years ago the music may have been too hard for the SB's billion viewers. Then the SB started rolling out all these legendary acts but all were old. Then they started going current pop star route. Their music is played all the time in every stadium. It just might be the right time....
