I imagine they'll get tested tomorrow morning & if all come back negative it should be good to play. With it being a coach tested i guess it's different to a player?

Why would it ? The raiders had 2 positive this week from players and the game is still on.

I heard somewhere they don’t test the day of the game. Not sure how the tracing effects anything (it didn’t last week with the Patriots). Should be fine for the game tomorrow.

It’s the day before the game, whereas they’ve (LV) been clear for days.

But I was more referring to the potential impact of it spreading.

Florio at his best (meaning worst/normal)

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/10/10/report-a-chiefs-strength-and-conditioning-coach-tests-positive/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

With multiple NFL virus hot spots seemingly under control (for now), another potential problem is emerging.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that “a strength and conditioning coach in Kansas City” has tested positive for COVID-19.

This report could encompass any of three Chiefs coaches: Strength and conditioning coach Barry Rubin, assistant strength and conditioning coach Greg Carbin, and strength and conditioning assistant Travis Crittenden.

Given that strength and conditioning coaches tend to have access to players in a confined space, this news is perhaps even more alarming than it would be for a player testing positive. Schefter says that contact “[t]racing is ongoing.” For any strength and conditioning coach, the potential universe of close contacts could be significant.

Assuming the positive test arose from Friday PCR testing, the Saturday PCR tests (with results coming later today/tonight/early morning based on proximity to the lab) now become critical to spotting a potential outbreak.

Even if everyone tests negative today, others could still be in the incubation period. By Sunday, they could be shedding virus.

On Sunday, the Chiefs are due to host the Raiders.

Guess we’ll see how well protocols are being followed in the building. Not sure what testing the next couple days shows either, given the uncertainty of the incubation periods.

Twitter calling for the game to be canceled.

That is probably the most responsible thing to do.

Again, I wouldn't be worried AT ALL if I was a player. But if the goal is safety, cancelling it is the play (or postponing it whatever you want to call it ). 3-8 day incubation period.

I think this is worse than a player getting it because of how a strength and condition coach would typically interact with players. I'm not sure if he's as involved as he might be on bye weeks and outside of the season but guys are still working out in the weight room hard during season. Strength and conditioning coach usually all over that area. But perhaps they've been doing it differently now with Covid. That is the key to cancelling or not cancelling I would imagine.

If the game is really a problem, postpone it.

Canceling games is NOT an option. If they're going to cancel or forfeit games, then just cancel the season and get it over with.

The wrist tracking device will show who he was close to.. I believe it has some sort of alarm if you get too close to a player.. This tool is very useful in the tracking of positive cases..

The only factual statements in his “reporting” is:

I think there was a Division II football player who died from a blood clot in his heart that may have been related to COVID-19.

Otherwise no college or pro players/coaches/staff have even been hospitalized with the virus.

Exactly.;)

Bottom line: We live in a very very litigious world where the populace has been raised to sue at the drop of a hat and this IS their winning the lottery. All large major corporations have a huge financial target on their back and their NO.1 enemy more often than not are their own employees. You can say this is about player safety BUT it is far more about not being sued (in case someone dies) if you show due diligence.
