Definitely be a shot of giddy up to team regardless of Bell's early play. It's the franchise reminding everyone that we are all in and always looking for a way to get better. That tends to inspire pro's for whom it is both a game AND a daily job.
Fresh taste in the mouth, the vibe will be up, it's a chance for everyone to find it a bit easier to be happy and excited to play during the regular season.

Besides that, Geoff's argument about the style of run game is pretty silly. Bell's entire problem with the Steelers was that he was both an elite runner AND elite receiving guy out of the backfield. He wanted more money than a typical RB because of his receiving ability. Chiefs would be able to use him as a damn good receiver even if Geoff is correct about the run style not being a very good fit.

Dude, you should have probably looked up the stats yourself. Gore is averaging EXACTLY 3.3 yards per carry. So if LB is washed up so is Gore.

And rather than take on a practically free LB, you'd trade draft picks for Gore. That makes zero sense.
