This is their SB, you better fucking believe that. They know this one will be 10 in a row when they lose. They’re likely gonna play their asses off, but still that poverty roster won’t be able to keep up with us, and Andy will put clown shoes on Vance Fangio again. 10 in a row incoming, will we get a Knowmo sighting before the game?

It's 2020... it's in Denver. Von and Courtland are still out, Gordon may still be drunk, who knows. McManus just booted 6 FGs in NE... he'll need to break Bironas' record of 8 FGs in a game, let's say 10 and then we add a TD, gives Denver (carry the 1) about 37 points. Should make it pretty interesting late.

Hell, I think anything could happen... I'll go Denver 44 and KC 41.

Most points scored since @ AZ in 2018. Yep, that'll work.

A chili 26 degree high for next Sunday in Dungver.

I heard on ESPN or whatever that it might snow for the game. Good thing Patrick is a "snow guy."

Honestly not very worried about the game, feel a little better actually because the OL played so well last night.

However, there were a few extenuating circumstances that may have played a part in that, and DEN does have a legit pass rusher in Chubb. How whoever-we-put-at-T will fare against him will be interesting.

Overall though DEN doesn't have the horses to compete with the Chiefs so I expect the Chiefs to win, and at least by three scores. It shouldn't be a competitive game.

I don’t think running back is a position you need to worry about as it relates to cold and snow, unless it’s a total snowstorm situation. Even if that is the case and Clyde can’t handle (highly unlikely), we just happened to have signed a running back who went to school in Michigan and played for Pittsburgh and New York.

The only thing I can think of that might be an issue is holding onto the ball if it snows. This time of year it's more than likely that if it snows it'll be a wet snow, vs. later in the season when snow would probably be drier. That could make hanging onto the ball or catching one more difficult.

We'll see if it actually does snow, but I think Clyde will be fine either way.

Wet snow is a lot more like rain. Dry snow in bitter cold can be a lot more like concrete.

Clyde was fine in the rain. I don't see wet snow being a huge problem for him.

Oh I don't either really. But we did see a lot of drops by both teams yesterday, and probably a few if not all were due to the ball being soaking wet. As we saw last season against DEN in the snow game, dry snow didn't really effect either hanging on to it or catching it. That's all I'm saying.

To be fair, they've been in the Super Bowl 8 times. They just usually get blown out...

The AFC was garbage in most of those years. A team led by Bernie Kosar was their best competition.

The Chiefs are possibly the biggest postseason underachievers in the league, yet they have a very good chance of tying Denver’s SB total in a few months.

Their altitude advantage is the single greatest competitive advantage in all of sports. It helped them pad their regular season records and earn playoff births. Playing at home in the playoffs afforded them the same advantage. That is why good, not great, bronco teams made it to the super bowl so many times only to get blown out by vastly superior teams.

The boost they get record-wise from their thin air home games cannot be understated. Between that and their documented history of cheating on and off the field, Denver is no better than other run of the mill team. Their fans who think they have some sort of great legacy crack me up.

Here is the bronco legacy in the order of most important contributions to their three tainted super bowl wins.

Thin air advantage.
Cheating the salary cap.
John Elway.
Cheating on the field and dirty play.
Manning’s farewell tour and subsequent reach around from the league.
Elite defense during Super Bowl L run.

Denver fans are some of the most delusional and self-entitled fans in the league. The chief’s legacy already surpasses theirs and will only dwarf it by the time Mahomes, Reid, and Veach are done.

Can you imagine if 20 years from now Mahomes became gm of the chiefs and won a Super Bowl?

I can’t because everyone knows the chiefs only win Super Bowls every 50 years or so.

Before Mahomes... In case you haven't noticed, # 15 is good at changing history. I like our chances of winning more Super Bowls before he hangs it up.
You do realize that with each passing season, you and your kind are running out of legit negative things to say about the Chiefs, as well as legit positive things to say about the Broncos...One franchise is one of the most relevant in the league, while the other is one of the most Irrelevant One is achieving new heights annually, while one is going on 4 losing seasons in a row...Get used to it - It's called the Mahomes Effect...:)

I think that "cheating on the field and dirty play" needs to be subdivided into categories. You've got equipment cheating like vegetable oil, you've got sportsmanship cheating like diving at the backs of players' knees, you've got a special category for Romanowski trying to break players' fingers in the pile, and I'm pretty sure that Aqib Talib and Von Miller carried guns in their waistbands.

I'm sure you can find some guys after they retired talking about it, but it's not something anyone talks about when they're playing, I think it's a mental thing.

Um, altitude isn't a mental thing, it's definitely physical. There's literally a little less oxygen at higher altitudes. Roughly, there's about 4% less O2 at 5,000 ft. vs. sea level. Doesn't sound like much, but air is only 21% oxygen in the first place. So playing at DEN means a visiting player must perform with only 80% of the O2 his body is normally used to.

Less O2 means your muscles will burn through the available O2 faster, and it will take longer for your body to reaccumulate it. So lactic acid production and build-up are both going to happen faster.

In other words, you get tired quicker and it takes longer to recover. At the beginning of a game, highly trained athletes won't notice this as much as a regular person might, but it's cumulative, so by the 2nd half (or earlier for fatties) is when they probably really notice it.

However, if you live at higher altitudes, your body becomes accustomed to making do with less O2. It takes a few weeks for your body to produce the extra red blood cells. So Broncos players don't feel the effects as soon or as much as a visiting player.

That's why playing at Mile High is such an advantage for DEN.

More of a scrimmage than a game

An exhibition match so the poor people of Denver can come out and see the champs play

The Broncos still have professional players on their team. If this team can't get up and perform against the SB champs then top 10 pick here they come. They were playing hard against the Patriots and are on a 2 game win streak.

They've lost close games to the 5-0 Steelers, 4-0 Titans, and were blown out by the 4-2 Bucs. I don't think this Broncos team is as bad as people think. The Chiefs should win as they are the better team but I don't think the Broncos are going to lay down easily ala scrimmage game.

That photo reminds me that Drew Lock thinks he is faster and more agile than he really is compared to NFL players. He did the same thing at Mizzou, trying to scramble for a first down and not coming close to escaping.

With the Broncos, both times he was injured and missed games was because he thought he was running away from a player that he was not able to avoid.

This never really gets talked about....but in Elway's farewell, cap-cheating season, the Vikings were 15-1...and the best team in football. Anderson missed like a 30 yards FG to send the Falcons to the SB.

Here's the joke...Anderson didn't miss a kick all year...and made 46 consecutive. The first ever perfect season...

Funny how HOF QBs, in their retirement season seem to catch all the "luck"...Minnesota would have crushed the Donks.

Remember Manning's retirement HGH AFCCG...NE's kicker hadn't missed an extra point in like 3 years. Magically, he missed...which ultimately forced Brady to ignore a wide-open Gronk for a two-point conversion at the end.

Magically, he missed...which ultimately forced Brady to ignore a wide-open Gronk for a two-point conversion at the end.

yeah....

The CHIEFS are by far the better team. IMO they should win by at least a couple of TD's. However, this season they have shown that they tend to play to the level of competition - in this case that would be down - so I think it will be closer than what I think should happen.

Sure. But when you're playing a team that you outscored 53 - 9 last season, one can certainly understand why KC will be a two score favorite.

Must be strange...Lock growing up a Chiefs fan then playing for the Donks.

I wonder if his childhood indoctrination was strong enough that he still roots for them...

Speaking of which...what ever happened to Shane Ray? Must have been weird to walk around the Denver LR with a Chiefs arrowhead tattooed on your back.

*edit* After the Donks refused to pick up his 5th year option...Ray signed with the Ravens...only to be cut before the season. He hasn't played since. Strange career to be a 1st round pick...then never play again after 4 years. I dont remember him being great...but he seemed serviceable enough to have a role with a team. Another Horseface 1st round pick that didn't get an extension...he just declined Bolles this year. How many is that?...that's the recipe for a last place roster.

Game will probably be closer than last year's tilt....they've been hyping up the 10 straight narrative for motivation. Let's hope the streak of having a TD removed for ticky-tack holding doesn't extend to 3 straight games. Refs haven't been kind in both division games so far...

I want to see Bell and CEH in the same backfield...in the snow.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the pass used heavily.

Recent history shows that Mahomes throws insanely well in the snow, and his weapons are even harder to cover due to the footing issues that come with it.

It’s also harder to rush the passer. I wouldn’t be shocked by anything. It’ll ultimately come down to the looks the Denver defense gives.

Anything is possible. But I do know it's hard to use your hands after just a few minutes when the temp drops down to single digits. I can see throwing being an issue, as well as catching. I see that they aren't expecting much wind, so that's mitigating, but 8 degrees is going to be tough to play through.

Denver basically getting all their players back from injury and read somewhere some NFL dude was saying Purcell was going to dominate the A gaps with our makeshift O-Line.

There seems to be some peeps out there that think Denver can not only make this a competitive game but win. I suppose they think anything’s possible after the loss to the Faid at Arrowhead. Kind of took the aura of invincibility off the Chiefs.

Still think the Chiefs win this by double digits. I suppose Dungver could keep it close for a half.

You're wrong, he cares right down to his raw naked bones, his ego and pride are inextricably linked to this

He just isn't a good GM, too reactionary with no vision of his own - if has a plan beyond renting a HOF mercenary - it really sucks

He's built nothing in Denver, and he's already wiped out a fifth of $6500 a bottle Macallan as I type this... eating his guts out about it

He doesn't give a fuck. He knows why it's happening and what his role is. He wants for nothing. Every day is wine and roses for these people. They are lapdogs for the elite. They get many doggy treats for their loyalty.

He doesn't care. A GM job is a reward for being the guy he was on the field for them. It's corporate nepitism

Only concern is the ridiculous weather conditions forecast for Sunday... snow and temps in the low 20’s in freaking October? Glad I don’t live in that Denver shithole.Yeah but you know what? The way the weather is out here it could quite possibly be 75 degrees by Tuesday. :D

He has matured before our eyes, from throwing penalty flags and getting 15 yard penalties, to just doing his job and staying drama free on the field and off.

But, just because the media needed something to talk about during the lead up to the Super Bowl, doesn't mean Kelce was at any point a terrible blocker.

Did Horseface sever his bicep reaching for those payments under the table?

Poor guy...the tone in his voice sounds like he knows they arent winning the AFCW for a LONG time. Herbert appears really good too...that must sting...he looks like what they thought they were getting with Lock.

You know what sucks...none of these new QBs are really "hateable". Lock, Herbert, Burrow, Watson...seem like decent guys.

I guess Brady didn't start out tongue-kissing his son...and perpetually cheating. His wife is a witch...and does rituals before each game....(you listening Ms. Mahomes...this is how you get six rings. "Infant blood"...and lockets of hair from your enemies.

Roethlisberger...well...he pretty much hit the ground being a douche-bag. Some people just look "rapey"...I think his eyes are genetically too close together...which puts an added strain on the "must rape" portion of the brain. Being a gooney-looking **** that stumbled into fame/wealth probably exacerbated the situation... that's a toxic alignment of the stars. There are classic cautionary tales written about this very scenario...sometimes the universe just makes humans ugly to test them. He failed...he's just an ugly, $38 million a year closet rapist...that can afford high-priced escorts now. Nothing changed...he paid off his rape victim too. *shrugs*. Cash makes being visually repugnant.."manageable". I think pretty people should be forced to pay restitution to all the ugly people...this was a Biden campaign promise. "Make ugly beautiful for the first time ever". I have the sign in my yard...which is dumb because I'm handsome...and avoid ugly people.

Manning was dragging his balls across female trainer's faces...and ruining their career when they spoke about it. He was an entitled D-bag well before the NFL...It was pre-high-speed internet....you could be a raging douche and nobody would know about it...and if word got out...you just ****ed their life up with your father's money....I miss the 90s. HGH in his wife's name shouldn't surprise anyone...nor should sending goons to the guy's house who was the whistle-blower...I mean it worked in college, right? They never show shit like this in his Papa Johns commercials... all we got was being a model citizen, throwing footballs and selling crap pizza. Simpler times...I still love that he thanked a Pizza corporation before the Denver fans after winning the Superbowl. He's no dummy..."priorities".

Elway was a cap-cheating, jersey-greasing, arrogant twat...which made rooting against him fun. He only ending up in Denver because he was a 23 year-old entitled prick..and never evolved past that stage. I mean who wouldn't want to be a spoiled, pampered 23 year old for the rest of their lives? Let's just hope he sticks around...he is the most hateable thing about Denver. Man-child, post athlete...it's a ruff go when you realize the only special thing you had was something that faded at 35....but you STILL desire to feel "special".

The only really dislikable player in the AFCW is Abrams...remember Merriman...and his roids?

I found 4 pretty good tix for 200 each but am staying home. That weather is looking like it is going to be NASTY. Asked my son and his GF (early 20's) if they want to go- got the "heck yes." asked the wife and told her it was going to be snowing and low 20's- got the "ok, if you really want to go".
I will do a 10 reasons why I am glad I stayed home in response to Georges 10 thing about the game.

On the positive side the snow should lay down most of the fires that are turning the mountains to ashes. Just got to get thru the wind in front of the snow.

Something else out here in Donko land. They renamed the Pepsi Center to the "Ball Arena". Ball Corp. LOL. The Nuggets and Avs will be playing in "Ballerina". Branding fail on that one.

Jones at DE is going to be devastating. Jones and Clark should have big games!

True. But Jones could feast on the inside if Risner is out. And ... shortest distance between two points. :)
