With the Steelers undefeated, every game is important for KC the rest of the way. Need to run the table and finish 15-1. Put some pressure on the Steelers to keep winning if they want that #1 seed and playoff bye week.

The Panthers have some really legit offensive weapons, I wouldn’t expect them to score less than 17, probably in the 20s.

Interesting.

Bridgewater ranks among the top 5 or 6 in total passing yards, yards/att, completion %. But then among the bottom ten starting QBs in yards/game, TDs/INTs, sacks. Kind of in the middle for QBR and PRTG.

The Panthers have beaten some good opponents but also lost to some weaker ones. Their passing game doesn't look very scary. And their running game isn't that great either.

I'll have to look into them more, but right now they don't look very good at anything, but not terrible at anything either.

Bridgewater sucks. They made Atlanta looked like world champs last week. I started Bridgewater in fantasy because Atlanta’s defense is so bad. Their O line made Atlanta look like the 85 bears. Bridgewater was running for his life and couldn’t do shit. He looked like a poor mans Lamar Jackson.
He should get a boost with CMC back. But I would think he’s on a snap count.

They're not exceptional in any area, though.

There's really no team in the league where you can "just show up". But if the Chiefs play like they did against say, the Patriots, where they made a few mistakes and didn't play their best ball, they beat the Panthers.

They're firmly a middle-of-the-pack team.

I don't think the Raiders are all that exceptional in spots either, but they got the better of us.

This Panthers team has a better defense than the Raiders. Their offense isn't as good as a whole but they've got weapons almost on par with them. I'd put CMC, Moore, and Anderson up against Jacobs, Waller and Ruggs.

We will almost assuredly beat them but I don't think they're going to come out and play as poorly as they did against Atlanta last Thursday.

Yup.

The key to beating the Chiefs is to run the ball! Chiefs are 30th in run defense!

Also Chiefs are 7-1.

And their only loss was because they gave up big passing plays repeatedly.

It's the same thing when people want the Chiefs to run the ball. Go for it. The Chiefs will score TD's when they get in the redzone and it won't matter.

But the Jets game also showed why it's better for the Chiefs to have the ball in Pat's hands. Thats what can happen.

Pick your poison. You wanna die slow or fast? You'll still die, but it's up to you.

I haven't watched any film on CAR this season, and I probably won't, but the Chiefs probably steam-roll CAR.

CAR ranks near the bottom of the league or bottom half in most of the major metrics on both offense and defense. In advanced metrics they do a little better in some categories, such as RZ efficiency. Things like RZ opponent scoring efficiency, where they are in the top half of the NFL when playing away.

However, they just don't put up enough points, and they aren't efficient enough per possession scoring TDs, even at their statistical best, to beat the Chiefs even if KC plays just an average game.

Even with CMC returning, this will be his first game back and I think he'll be on some kind of pitch count, sharing carries with Davis. They can't risk another injury to their franchise RB that they just paid all that money for. Plus, they don't expect to win this game. And finally, as great as CMC is in both the running and passing attacks, he's not a game-wrecker for the Chiefs, especially if he doesn't get 30 touches.

Add in the fact that their OL is banged up at G and C, so CJ should have a splashy day, and IMO the Panthers have no chance of winning, and nearly no chance of even covering the spread.

This should be another early day for Mahomes and the starters, with the Chiefs getting out to a big early lead, and then the Panthers get a score late in garbage time to make it look more respectable by the buzzer.

35-20, Chiefs.

That and the Raiders are just a better class of football team, on paper anyway. The only position where you could say CAR has an honest advantage is at RB, if CMC is on the field. But LV's OL and DL are significantly better, their receiving weapons are better, except for CMC, and I think LV's secondary has better athletes, with the possible exception of Chinn for CAR.
