So I was trying to find something out and came upon this star. When Aaron Rodgers had his 200th TD pass he had the least amount of ints when reaching that milestone and he absolutely crushed it 200 TDs to 53 Ints and Brady was the next closes at 88 Ints.

Patrick Mahomes is at 97 TD and 19 Ints. So at this pace he will absolutely crush the record that Rodgers crushed.

So what other NFL records is he breaking in the next few seasons.

All of them.

Well not ALL of them. Just all of the passing/winning ones. He’ll leave things like the career rushing record for running backs like Lamar Jackson.

Consecutive games with a TD pass. He’s at 18. Brees has the record at 54, I think. Maybe 52. Somewhere around there. I can see Mahomes smashing this record.

Aaron Rodgers. ROFL

Sorry, not making jest, just love it when he gets beat, like today. I know, I know, division game, anything can happen, like we got beat by the Raiders. Just love it.

I would like to see him smash the record of the most Superbowl wins by a QB!

Let's start with the closest one. Mahomes will be the fastest qb to 100 TDs when he inevitably throws 3 more TDs. He's at 97 with 39 games.... Marino did it in 44 games. Though interestingly mahomes is NOT the fastest to 100 TDs with one team. That goes to Peyton who did it in 35 games with Denver.

I believe he's going to also crush the fastest to 10,000 yards, 100 TDs but not entirely sure who holds that.

He'll still be worth more than all the CP posters combined.

Oh shit, he went one game without a TD pass from Oct 2009 to Nov 2015

Rank Quarterback Period Team Games
1 Drew Brees 10/18/2009 – 11/25/2012 New Orleans Saints 54
5 Drew Brees 12/9/2012 – 11/29/2015 New Orleans Saints 45

And it happened to be a Sun/Thurs turnaround - https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201211290atl.htm

I was just sitting here thinking that first 54 game streak was pretty incredible. It's even more crazy thinking he could have been at 100 games in a row.

Pretty impressive, but the snow game for Mahomes last week is a reminder of how often Brees does not have to deal with bad weather. His first outdoor game this season was Week 8, which is absurd. He plays in a division where he's guaranteed 9 dome games every year...and a conference that has almost twice as many dome stadiums as the AFC.

Agreed. And when you look at his schedule every year somehow he manages to get barely any weather games. The scheduling gods always put cold weather away teams early in Brees' schedule. During the mvp race with Mahomes I think he had maybe 1 or 2 games where they had weather and just as many games below 40 degrees.

The funny thing is that it seems Mahomes is a lot better outdoors than indoors. He played great indoors in college (Cowboys & Texans stadiums). But so far at the pro level he has not looked like himself in those dome games at Detroit & Chargers stadiums.

I am hoping Mahomes can get that indoor issue straightened out for the upcoming Raiders game in Vegas. Chiefs need him to play well so they can get revenge on the Raiders. Need the defense to play a hell of a lot better of course.

Good points. Tom and Peyton are the only other two to break the Unitas record that stood for 5 decades. Surprisingly, Manning's was at the end of his career and includes a couple seasons in Denver.

A stat like that though... you could have a streak that goes on for 3 years and then it's over, so now you're talking 6+ years of a career just for 2 chances at it.

Brady had two similar streaks that amounted to around 76 out of 78-ish games.

Maybe I'm over-analyzing, but I wonder how much of Mahomes' cold weather success despite his hand size is because of his grip. His grip is pretty unusual. Most QBs go across the football. The guys with the big hands spread the pinky way out. But Mahomes grips on top. Wonder how much his grip helps his game ingeneral.
