It's a little creepy. Stories or anecdotes?

have a few neighbors that have amazon put packages in their garage.
Chamberlin has an app. Sure most due since it looks like they are all made by 1 company.

Haha. Whose is Responsible for the Chihuahua or cat that hauls ass out the door when the delivery guy opens the door?

That's what I have. My third car garage door opener is Wi-Fi enabled.

I'm guessing the homeowner that allowed access to their garage with an animal inside?

I signed up for it, but I've not used it yet. We replaced our garage door opener a year or two ago and the new one has the WiFi capability, so I set up the "My Q" app that is linked to the garage door so that it is also linked to Amazon Key. I like that I could open my garage door remotely just using the My Q app on my cell phone, but I've not yet had the need to do so. ;) That app also keeps track of when the door is opened and closed and can notify you about that.

What's the over/under on when they get a report of an Amazon driver taking a shit in someone's bathroom?

I just have them leave all packages on my porch in a storage box marked “Jets t-shirts”

Have you seen the underworld types who deliver for Amazon? Every one of them is scoping out likely hits for their methhead friends. Three dudes in a 75 Chevy 4door Impala bringing your shit to the door and peeking in your windows?

Wait you mean UPS doesn't have this? Why is Bowser always inside of peoples houses then?

It's designed to stop much of the porch pirating.

This is a nightmare waiting to happen. Somebody is going to get shot by a gun nut when some neighbor sees what appears to them someone breaking in or the amazon person going to the wrong house. The last thing I bought on amazon the delivery person had messaged me saying they tried the garage code but couldn't get it to work. I had no idea wtf they were talking about until now.

This sounds like a REALLY bad idea, so yeah, I’m out. LOLHow long will it be before some one hacks into a Amazon driver? It'd be like giving the keys to your neighborhood burglar. And I suppose Amazon wouldn't be held liable. :spock:

I make them bring me my packages while I'm in the bathtub

I could see for some people for some neighborhoods this might be useful. Isn't needed in my case.

And I think I would rather have a big lock box bolted to my front porch than have a front door lock or garage door that internet hackers have access to.

Although I realize that wouldn't work for everyone either.

So, I signed up for this and have had a few deliveries. For fun, I installed a web cam set to record on motion. No issues so far. Sometimes they just toss the package(s) inside, Others walk all the way in and leave them on the door stairs leading into the house. One guy did take a long look at my fun car, but that's been it so far.

I have a breezeway in my new house I could key differently than my other doors. Guess that would work well for this. My garage doesn't have a door so thats out as an option.

In the end though, its not something I need for my area.
