KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
The Kansas City Chiefs said Thursday that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.

“The individual is self-quarantining, under the team's medical care, and contact tracing is taking place,” the Chiefs said in a news release. “The team is now in the NFL's Intensive Protocol and working closely with the league and medical experts. The health and safety of our players, coaches and staff members remains our No. 1 priority.”

The Chiefs held practice Thursday morning and then “out of precaution,” the facilities will be closed this afternoon and meetings will be held virtually.

“We'll continue to monitor the situation and take any appropriate action necessary to protect the team and those around us,” the Chiefs said. “The team will continue its preparation to play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.”

who gives a crap. I'm tired of anytime one person in any capacity on ANY team supposedly tests positive for covid (could be a false positive) there is always a post about it. tired of it.

Feel free to ignore the post then.

Or the thread, perhaps.

Just a suggestion.

I think this is common enough that the teams can quit announcing every time someone is positive. Just do what you need to do to take care of it and move on.

It's literally a thread about a Covid case. Consider not reading or ignoring it if you're so "tired" of it.

OR, take the time to whine about it in that thread. Whatever, I guess.

It's still pretty noteworthy, though. If there's any spread, our game this weekend would possibly be called off, so I think it's worth being aware of.

Considering there have been a ton of positive cases in the nfl this past week and this is the second thread I've seen about any of them I'd say you're full of shit.

It's Rick Burkholder, head trainer.

Hope he's okay, one of the best to do it.

In contact with the most players I’d assume.
