Have to think contact right?

Chris was on the injury report i think correct? So this probably due to him getting treatment from Burkholder.

We’ll be fine.

It’s the Panthers.

If we can’t beat them at home without Jones and Clark, then we’re not really Super Bowl material this year.

This isn’t the Jets, but we should still roll. The offense can with this game for us by themselves.

A few things regarding Chris Jones on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
1) Jones' practiced.
2) Only on the list if exposed to someone w/ positive test - DOES NOT mean player is + (again, Contact Tracing)
3) IF virus test negative & asymptomatic, must wait 5 days w/ negative tests.

This. Their defense doesn't blitz much, they don't get much pressure overall, and just about everyone can pass on them.

Then their OL is banged up, I'm pretty sure I read that their right guard is a back-up and maybe also their C, and they don't run block that well and they're in the bottom third in pass pro. Our DL even without CJ (possibly Clark as well) should be able to get some pressure. And Spags will dial some stuff up and bring DBs/S/LBs to generate that. When that happens, Bridgewater has shown a tendency to throw INTs, and the team has a tendency to turn the ball over.

All the metrics I've looked at suggest that the Chiefs won't have much of a problem putting CAR away.

Yes, but Faid are a better team than Carolina. Division rival, beat down by us numerous times before, their personal ‘Super Bowl’, unexpected deep passing game plan with Carr . . . . . . . . pick your reason.

The Chiefs-Faid game was an anomaly. We will see that demonstrated first hand in 2 weeks.

Carolina is not an awful team like the Jets, but they are easy to figure out and you know what they’re gonna do, especially with CMac coming back. The Chiefs are not overlooking them and will come ready to play.

Prepare for the offense to rape again . . . . . . .

Not certain what the protocol is, but don't they have to go back in time to figure out when the contact occurred? So, if the news broke yesterday that CJ was on the CV list, but it wasn't from a positive test, wouldn't that imply that his contact had to come before Yesterday, so likely Wednesday at latest? And if this is the case, and he's already tested negative since that point, wouldn't he already be in the 5 day window, assuming he stays negative?

Also, if it was not a member of the team, wouldn't it also have to be CJ that self-reported this? I mean, how else would they know that CJ was in close contact with a non-team affiliated person that tested positive otherwise?

EDIT: At the end of the day, don't think that Sunday's game hinges on CJ playing or not.....just wondering what the possibility is that he could go

I was confused by this whole thing when I heard the news today, but seems reasonable that he had contact with someone (I heard not a Chiefs employee) on Sunday, that person eventually got sick and had a positive test on Thursday, leaving Jones to clear 5 days and be reactivated Friday.

I get that this is in the interest of transparency, but if he was going to be cleared the next day why even release the info?
