With all of the old threads being bumped lately, I decided to go back through some of my thread history. All I can say is that it was definitely a cry for attention, and, while I do still post "Facebook" type threads on here, I'm amazed at how much I've grown up in the past 6-7 years.

Without bumping old threads, what would you say about yourself posting through the years (if you've been on here that long)?

From my earliest posts on the KC Star BB, I realized that I should cite credible sources to support my version of any facts that were under dispute. That's turned out to have had a moderating influence on me, because when I would try to establish with credible sources what I thought the relevant facts are, I would often find that I often had distorted views and memories that didn't match reality. I've also been pretty good about avoiding ad hominem attacks, although I mess up every once in a while...last time I could remember, though, was back in 2003. ;)

Just tired, as a fan of this team, of constantly watching the same crap over and over. Yeah Alex Smith could be a servicable QB, I bet he wins (based on the last place schedule) at least 9 games his first season.

One QB bust 30 years ago and KC will not draft a QB in the first round. But we keep picking DL (both DT & DE) in the 1st round over and over (Sims, Dorsey, Jackson, Poe) and they either bust or do not live up to thier draft position. But by God let's clamor for another DL in the 1st again. Or better yet, let's draft a OT in the 1st.

We are stuck, baring an injury, with Alex Smith for at least 3 years. During this time the fan base will buy more tickets and merchandise and the parking lot will be filled again. It will be just like 1990's all over again. Clark will be happy, some fans will be happy and the Chiefs will still be in the same postition they are now, a good team and not a great team which is held back by the lack of play from the QB.

I'll root for them, just not going to drink the Kool Aid. Until this team gets serious in drafting and developing a starting QB of its own and gives up picking up other team's scraps I'm done being a die hard fan.

The one thing I really miss are the bashes at Joe's every year. My goal was always to get myself and everyone else wasted (ahem, Bugeater...lol). Since I've had my kiddo, I can count on one hand the number of times I've been drunk. Not sure how I'd be at a gathering like that now.

Meeting people from here is the best. I'm kicking myself for having to decline TwistedChief's dinner invitation last season. Sitting down to dinner with a glass of wine and talking to people is definitely more my speed now. I think that's why I live for tailgating now. I'm less the girl that goes in the stadium drunk, and more the hostess making sure others are enjoying themselves.

Yeah, I think that's just a function of the size and age of the board. We're less connected by personality anymore because so many people have come and gone over time.

I've been on here about 4 years now and as a life long Chiefs fan enjoy the banter, good and bad, including spirited discussions in DC. I remember one of my first post was about Tyreek Hill after we drafted him and I was in support saying the Chiefs had done their due diligence, I was quickly indoctrinated into CP with the die loser, drink antifreeze mantra. LMAO. I have enjoyed meeting quite a few on here at some tailgates and at the SuperBowl and everyone has been great. I am looking forward to a normal Arrowhead again next year, and hopefully a Chiefs watch party for a game yet this year with some central Iowa folks.

When I first joined CP (prior to a Bills/Chiefs game), I was stationed in the ROK and drinking a LOT of soju. Granted I wasn't drinking during the game since I had to stream it at something like 0200 - before I went to work.
