The Weeknd rules over the Billboard 200 this week with his new album After Hours, which is a massive success from the get-go. The set moved 444,000 equivalent units in its first frame in the U.S. alone, which is enough to not only make it No. 1 in the country, but also one of the biggest titles of the year.

That 444,000 figure includes 275,000 actual purchases and 163,000 streaming equivalent units, which are comprised of 220.7 million streams of the songs featured on the set. That’s a huge figure for any album, and now the Canadian musician has made history with his latest.

According to Billboard, After Hours now holds the record for the largest streaming week among all R&B albums. Apparently, no other title based in that genre has ever racked up 200 million plays in a single tracking frame, and The Weeknd’s new project grabs that record from...his last release.

The band was amazing-super talented musicians. The Concert part sucked ass- Starlight Theatre stopped selling beer and Anything to drink including water, soon as the show started. Half the crowd stood in the t-shirt line for most of the show and the other half held their phones up like zombies the entire time.

Rock shows used to be rowdy, wild, hot drunk chicks, bands would play 3-hour shows. lots of partying- now... Not even the same experience.

It is a shame that kids these days will never know what a Rock Concert is like. Now they get a Corporate Event- programmed down to the last second.

I've loved the Weeknd since he was Drake's protege. I actually prefer a lot of his older stuff when he was more mellow R&B but he's transitioned to pop extremely well. Earned It, Blinding Lights, Starboy, Die For You, Pray 4 You (or whatever that one was called from the Black Panther soundtrack).

I couldn't think of a better, less offensive choice for the halftime show right now. Maybe Rihanna or Khalid or something, that's about it.
