So we'll play the lowest seed remaining after wildcards right? Not too worried with any teams but my preference would be Browns > Colts > Ravens > Titans

Ravens and Titans would at least make me somewhat nervous going into the game.

Browns and Colts not so much.

I would fucking welcome the Colts with an umbrella party to Arrowhead. Easy win. And as a bonus, knock out the red hot Bills and everyone can quit sucking off Josh Allen.

But it’s not gonna happen. Bills will blow them out.

In fact, I don’t think they’re much above average.

Agree, BUT not if our o-line is still beat up and playing like manure forcing our GOAT QB to be limited in his playmaking skills downfield because he is more focused on the chaos around him that causes him to make more errors(inaccurate easy passes and ints) and higher potential for injury.

Bills - Josh Allen is playing great and so is the team. Allen seems to get better every yr. His decision making has been his bugaboo in previous years. Im not sure I trust him in the playoffs.

Browns - They have a great running attack that could neutralize our ability to get many possessions. The game plan to beat the Chiefs should be to control the time of possession, be successful running the football. If you arent as good as the other team doing so is a good idea because it shortens the game and you can get lucky.

Ravens - I actually think they are scary now again because Lamar seems to have accepted his fate as a running QB. If they dont go full retard and blitz us they could beat us 3 times out of 10.

Colts - Out of all the teams defenses this one worries me the most. They beat us remember last year at home. Granted I believe Sammy and Tyreek were both out but I like the way their defense matches up with the Chiefs if I was a Colts fan. Downside for them is Phyllis will shit the bed at some point and give away the game.

Steelers - Paper Tiger. Please please please let his get this matchup. Mahomes will torch Steven Nelson and Big Rape doesn't quite have it anymore. They also tend to rely on blitzing to get pressure for the most part.

Tennessee - Henry is a future HOF running back. They are a tough squad and Tanny is underrated. They showed they can beat the Chiefs last yr.

The only shot the WFT has (5%) to win next week is to milk the play clock to 1 before every snap on offense and hope their D line plays out of it’s fucking mind.

Eh not really.

Mahomes had a high ankle sprain, and Hill and Watkins were both out that day. And Chris Jones left early. Only lost by 4 or 5.

That’s not even nearly the same Colts team though.

Schematically the Colts are a bad matchup for us in that they could possess the football with power running, short passing game and play solid D.

Ultimately, we would break them but I think other teams we have easier answers for.

Are you perhaps thinking of a different team?

Colts are bottom half of the NFL in both average rushing yards per carry and rushing yards per game.

I would not like to play the Browns if they beat pittsburgh, Browns can play defense every once in a while, Tennessee not so much. I'd like to face pitt later too, same reason. I'll take Tennessee, then Pittsburg. Then I would like to play the Redskins.

Nope. Taylor as the lead back scares me in a one game matchup.

Yes, the TV networks and NFL will get together and decide on a schedule next Sunday night. I'd assume the Chiefs will be a night or late afternoon game considering what Mahomes has become at this point, but we won't know for sure until then.

The Titans went into Baltimore and executed a terrific game plan to beat the red hot (and #1 seed) Ravens. Then they went into Foxboro and knocked off the defending SB champs. I'd say that was a good reason.

I don't see the Colts as the same type of team, however. I would bet it has more to do with our history with the Colts. That being said, people that have this mindset tend to forget that we whooped them at Arrowhead in the Divisional Round 2 years ago.

I think we're likely playing the Ravens. I don't see the Colts beating the Bills. Browns barely beat Pitt without their starting QB and others. I don't think they look like they can win. Titans have no defense at all so Ravens will win.

So Chiefs vs Ravens next week bet we get the prime spot with that one. I Think we beat them easily, then play Bills in the AFCCG.

I think Chiefs beat the Bills they are just the more complete team with a better coach and QB. Let's hope Pat doesn't catch covid and ruins the whole year.

CLE Olivier Vernon out for the season with ruptured Achilles. Probably their best defensive player not named Myles Garrett.

Just made winning next week a whole lot harder for CLE.

Ah, CLE enjoyed a two-score lead for all except for about 15 minutes of that game vs. PIT. And PIT was more efficient offensively with Mason Rudolph under center than they have been with Ben for almost the entire season.

Don't let the final score fool ya. It wasn't as close as the final made it appear to be.

But CLE lost Olivier Vernon last night, and their defense was much worse once he was off the field, so PIT might be able to pull out a W.

Def a blow to them on D. I look at them as having a slim margin for victory if they were to win that type of blow may solidify a Pitt win.

Idk we shall see.

I honestly don't know if they are or not. Losing Vernon is a huge blow to their already weak defense. But with him on the field, playing some hybrid version of DE/LB, he had to be respected by opposing offenses. And we saw what happened as soon as he went down. PIT scored twice, fairly easily. Before that, PIT was having to kick FGs.

But as I said last night, PIT was more efficient offensively per possession, by the play they weren't much better than they were when they were trotting Ben and the other 'starters' out there. Though I noticed that their offensive skill position starters all played. Even saw Connor out there a few times.

Anyway, with Ben in for the last two months or more PIT was averaging something ridiculous like 3-4 yards/play. Their average drive was around 14 plays to go 60 yds. Last night they had a drive that went 11 plays for 38 YARDS. In fact, PIT had MULTIPLE drives that were very similar to that. Against one of the more porous defenses in the NFL (9th/run, 21st/pass, 20th scoring).

On the season PIT averaged about 30-35% scoring per possession, so if they got 10-11 possessions in a game, they only scored 3-4 times? Against some pretty soft defenses?

I don't know what the reasons are behind such pitiful numbers, but the bottom line is that is exactly who PIT is this season. They haven't moved the needle positively the whole season, except last night, with a pure back-up under center and against one of the worst defenses in the league.

So how exactly do you think PIT is going to suddenly reform themselves and score efficiently enough to beat a CLE team that has the momentum, and the scoring efficiency to crush them?

Has Ben been sleeping this whole season? Has Tomlin been "hiding his playbook"? I honestly would like to know the answers to these questions.

Because otherwise, the "because Browns" doofus argument aside, statistically CLE should beat the pants off PIT, by at least two TDs.

Yeah, could be. And he's not a spring chicken anymore either. So if he misses next season, what are the chances he comes back at all? At least as far as the Browns are concerned?

If we're playing Baltimore (or for that matter anyone) we need to get our linebackers healthy. All our potential opponents in the divisional round love to run the ball. I'd hate to face these teams without Hitchens, Wilson, or Gay.
