Either Townsend has COVID or he is going to retire a Chief soon

Well, that's interesting. Have him help with coach up Townsend on holding and get our kicking back on track?

TLO

Gonna get him a Super Bowl ring and then retire as a Chief.

Insurance if Tommy gets hurt in the playoffs, we'll have someone we trust to hold for FG's and XP's.

This is...confusing

It will cost the Chiefs $12k per week to have Colquitt on the PS.

That's pretty cheap insurance if something were to happen to Townsend but most importantly, as a holder for Butker.

I assume that's just COVID insurance, but I thought we already had Tommy's brother for that.

Why? Just a nice gesture?

Don't get me wrong. Dustin was great but time marches on for everyone.

Plus, isn't Townsends little brother already on the PS?

It's not that confusing.

Ravens signed Tommy's brother when their punter ended up on the COVID list. We needed someone in case it happened to Townsend. Who better than Colquitt?

See, I knew we should've just re-signed Dustin for this season. With him as our punter, Butker would've made all those missed XPs that caused us to lose zero games!

Same. I suppose he might have a bit of an Alex Smith-ian "coach" role too.

Dustin seemed pretty upset after he was released so I am glad he was able to bury the hatchet.

I took his disappointment as being due to the situation rather than a feeling of being wronged. He knows it's a business even if it sucks to be on the losing end of it.

YUP, Covid insurance as well.

The real reason. If Townsend gets COVID day before a game it's too late to sign somebody unless already on the PS.

The Chiefs really seem focused on having a Corona back-up plan at the punter position apparently.

I fully support this given the expanded PS for the playoffs.
