Really? How old are you (and yes, I'm being sincere)?

Schefter worked for the Rocky Mountain News from 1990-96 and for the Denver Post from 96-2004 when he joined the NFL Network.

He covered the Broncos for 14 years.

I knew he had covered them and had connections there. But his Twitter feed makes him sound like he actually works directly for the Broncos organization today. It was even worse when John Elway fired himself as GM and Schefter kept tweeting out all of Elway's successes in the role.

Idk much about him but the Vikings have been an above average team in the draft for a long time so this seems like an upgrade for them.

He covered them during the Elway/Shanahan glory years. Don't know about Elway but he had a personal relationship with Shanahan that continued when Shanahan went to Washington.

The biggest issue with the Vikings was not being able to adequately address the QB position. Basically, the same issue Denver has been struggling with.

The only team in the AFC that has a legitimate shot to get Watson is the Dolphins. They’re the only ones with the draft capital to get the Texans to trade him inside the conference.

Watson has a no trade clause in his contract. The only team he has listed that he is willing to go to, should things go that way, is Miami.

I would take more than that...they arent going to trade a top 5-7 QB within the conference..

Watson has a no trade-clause so he has final say on where he goes...I have a hunch going to another last place team isnt very desirable.

Viks drafts have been kind of average.

They've done a decent job with the defense and I'd argue a great job with WR's.

But the most important position on the field is QB and they botched that horribly, over and over.

Well, to be fair... most NFL teams do botch the drafting or acquiring of an elite QB. And, while Watson may be a pipe dream trade for Denver, I'll hold out some glimmer of hope and see how it goes.

A lot of those teams at least still end up with a top 12-15 guy just by trying though.

The only time the Vikings did that was by purchasing one with one of the worst contracts in NFL history.

I mean, I guess the Broncos haven't done that yet.

Oh, it's certainly a possibility. Just Watson himself said that he would allow a trade to Miami. They have a QB that is actually worth something, unlike Drew Lock, and they have many draft picks. Also, Jax is a possibility b/c they have the #1 pick plus draft picks. Morning radio guys were talking about that this morning.

If you would have asked me what I thought about him being traded last week, I'd have said that he's staying put, but now I'm not so sure. As crazy as it seems, I get the feeling if things keep going how they are, that he'll be traded. But it's gonna take one HELL of an offer.
