I am also a bit concerned about their pass rush as well especially without Fisher. Mahomes is gonna be on the run a ton and will have very little time to throw. We’ve seen before he’s capable of handling that though. Hope that foot is feeling even better in two weeks.

Tampa Bay is poorly coached, it's going to be another game where we have a huge coaching and schematic advantage. Brady doesn't have Belichick drawing up a Superbowl gameplan for him and his defense. He has Leftwich that runs the ball on every first down and Todd Bowles that we embarrassed a few weeks ago.

FloridaMan88

smithandrew051
01-24-2021, 09:59 PM
Tampa doesn’t have much of a run game, and Brady is completely immobile. That really helps our defense.

Offensively, they can’t cover our guys especially if Watkins plays. The Buccaneers managed 5 sacks today and still almost lost. The Packers really should’ve put up 35+ even with allowing those sacks.

You know what's gonna be funny next year, guys? When the two-time defending SB champ Chiefs are again cruising into the playoffs with the 1 seed, and again people are pointing to the Chiefs' red zone offense being "Middle of the pack" and a weakness...

Only for them to turn it on and then go superhuman efficient in the playoffs, just like this year.

They're 7/8 in red zone possessions in the postseason this year.

Bucs will have a decent home field advantage with the 7,500 local healthcare workers in there. Considering that's 1/3 of the total fans allowed. I doubt it will make a difference, but it is noteworthy.

They really do have a great defense. I'd have almost rather faced Rodgers...

Great? The Chiefs put up almost 550 yds on them last time.

Good, maybe, but definitely exploitable.

It’s gonna be hilarious to listen to all these talking heads babble for 2 weeks and try to convince themselves and the country that the Bucs actually have a chance....

Of course they have a chance.

Would I bet on it? NO.

I would say for sure. What would that be, 5 weeks?

Would help so much with the way Tampa uses their personnel and early down runs.

I don’t want to downplay Fisher at all, cause I think he is a really good player. But just matchup specific wise, this might be one of the more ok times to lose him and I say this for one reason: JPP is a power rusher, which has been Fisher’s toughest challenge usually over the course of his career.

Meanwhile, it seems like Remmers does well with power players, whereas he struggled with a Von Miller type who is speed first —> power.

Would I rather have Fish, hell yes. But I think it might hurt us more at RT than it does on the left.

IIRC, Fisher had a rough game against JPP the last time.

That defensive line is good. Not 49ers good but it’s good. They didn’t have Vita Vea when we played them before. Do I think that they win? No. But that defensive line still scares me.

I think WORST case scenario, they give us fits like SF did last year for the first three quarters. Bosa was that dominant himself.

So then it falls to things like can our defense hold them down fairly well, can we wear down their pass rushers like KC always does, can we run the football with efficiency, etc.

Brady is a sitting duck and we bring fast blitzes. I don't even see this being close. We don't have Grandpa Bob Sutton at DC anymore

Do the Buccaneers have any lunch pail high motor slot WR's?

Linebackers are studs too. Damn.

Ball has to come out quick. Now if you are Bowles, do you stay true to who you are and blitz frequently, or trust the front to handle a patchwork OL?

Ali Marpet also is back in the OL for TB. We gotta find a way to get pressure up the middle into Brady’s face! We can do that he’ll give us a turnover or 2.

Andy will make them defend the entire field. I think this makes the OL a better run blocking unit, put Pat under center, more play action and screens, make them run all over, then trap block the snot out of them on running plays.

I absolutely hate that we’re relying on him but Sammy Watkins is crucial for this game.

They’re not letting Tyreek be single covered in this game. They’ll surely press Kelce at the LOS too.

We need Hardman and Sammy to beat single coverage for quick passes to mitigate the pass rush.

It would be very helpful as I suspect a lot of quick passes underneath, challenging their DBs to cover and tackle.

Basically the trenches will determine the outcome of the game. Bucs have a great defensive line and their pass rush is playing their best. KC offensive line is battered and bruised and playing backups. If they can’t protect mahomes in the pocket, mahomes will look like arod with 5 sacks.

On the other end, the defensive line is healthy and needs to get to Brady quick. They will anticipate the blitzes and the secondary will have to keep up with evans, brown and Godwin.

The game will be in the high scoring range and the chiefs will have to protect the ball and cash out on any Brady InT .

I'm not going there.

Every time they say it's going to be a shootout, the Chiefs defense shows up.

This game either ends up like the Browns game or the Bills game. The defense isn't going to allow a shootout.
