I'm torn here. I took last year off so I could spend the day watching hype vids and all the lead up shows without having to fuck with a bunch stuff.

Now that we running it back up Brady's bitch ass, I'm thinking of making some things but not sure what.

Did that for the SB last year and then for the AFCCG this year.... the Z-Man kits are a relatively great deal compared their other options and other BBQ joints.

Still thinking through some options for next weekend, but not having BBQ shipped this time.... this playoff stuff is expensive. LMAO

It worked really well last year. Followed the heating instructions & everything worked out great. I don't want to have to worry about cooking food. I did the "All the Meat" this year with some few extra things and ended up spending about the same as last year.

Hmm, looks like their prices are pretty reasonable right now. I bought some Jack Stack last with sides along with OK Joe's and it was pretty insane for all of 1 pound of meat.... but, I see you can get like 4lbs of pulled pork from Joe's for just under $100 right now, which seems far better of a deal than what was out there last season.

Hows the low carb treating you Nzoner? More importantly to the question how are your shits? I did keto (modified) last year and I had the best shits of my life!! Solids and clean drops hardly needed to wipe except just to make sure.

First time in >25 years to think about food on SB Sunday, and actually I'm not feeling it.

Win or lose, being confined, not in the mood to gorge with the stakes of the game, particularly if I have to prepare it myself. I'll make way too much, and it'll take too much to both babysit it and go in and get some to eat.

Rotel chorizo queso dip

Good old Buffalo style chicken wings

Wanted to do Pablos crab dip, but just couldn't find a decent deal on the crab

Went with the premade poppers just to save some kitchen time, they're restaurant quality so it'll be good enough, and everything else wont take very long... loves me all the pregame hype pieces, they're half the fun IMO

Wing Dip...

9x13 pan (or slightly smaller), sprayed with olive oil (or other cooking spray)

2 packages Cream Cheese
1 rotissierie chicken
1 package Kraft Monterrey Jack shredded cheese
Ranch/blue cheese dressing
Wing sauce (I prefer Cookies, but any will do)

1) Heat oven to 350, put both cream cheese packages in pan, then oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove pan and spread cream cheese evenly across bottom

2) Pull rotissierie chicken, chop into bite sizes, then simmer in wing sauce (your desired amount) for 5 minutes or so. Lay across the cream cheese.

3) Drizzle desired amount of Ranch OR Blue Cheese dressing over chicken layer. Cover with Monterrey Jack shredded cheese

4) Bake in oven until nice and bubbly

5) Service with Fritos or other corn chips

I was going to smoke some ribs, but after a very mild winter, Mother Nature is about to make up for it and kick our ass. Looks like Sunday's high is going to be 2 degrees, snow and a stiff breeze. They are saying a wind chills of -25 to -30.

With that said, I think I'm going to take a pass on the ribs, along with freezing off various body parts. I'll do either chili, or a pot roast. I'm leaning toward the pot roast. I think I'll also go with, mashed potatoes, fresh homemade rolls and bake an apple pie to go along with it.

I bought some steaks early in the week for game day, put them in the freezer. Now that it's going to be like 10 degrees tomorrow, I've changed plans. Got a great big ol Stauffer's Lasagna and stuff to make Caesar Salad. For appetizers we'll have italian meatballs in the crock pot and my crockpot mushrooms, toasted italian sausage ravioli from V's in Indpendence (in your grocer's freezer) and garlic cheesy bread with provolone. My wife and my friend Gary are going to drink red wine. I'm going to have Modelo Dark Beer and a couple shots of good bourbon before the game. Steaks will have to be done on another day when it's above freezing outside.

Oh, when I went to Hy-Vee yesterday noticed two things: One, they had totally sold out of all their chicken wing, boneless and regular, and chicken tenders. Lots of chicken happening on Sunday. And they have official Super Bowl LV programs for $18 ea. I picked up a couple.

Its just a bloody mary with Jack Daniels instead of vodka, the spicier the better... the difference is remarkable, bourbon really adds something new to the mix

First heard of, or ever had one at this place... Evandys Boatel in Naples, Il

https://images.app.goo.gl/yttZ7e6gqSgM59Xk8

They have a nice restaurant upstairs, and a riverside bar overlooking the beach... live bands on the patio from 3 to close on weekends, people pull their boats up on the beach out front and come in to party

Its a great little spot, for this little corner of Illinois anyway

Ribs, brisket, cheese and veg tray. Debating the drink.. stay local with Rieger's, or go around the world with Irish, Scotch, and Japanese whiskey.

Other than a very occasional Jack n Coke, I'm not even a bourbon/whiskey drinker... but it works beautifully in a bloody mary

Use a spicy mix and try. it.

Wife made Arrowhead sugar cookies (similar to Christmas tree cookies rotated 90 deg with red and gold sprinkles). Starting on 2x slabs of ribs in the oven around 1:30 (too cold to play around outside). Chips and salsa, pizza appetizers. Makers or Basil Hayden Old Fashioned for pre-game. Boulevard Wheat during the game with popcorn from the Chiefs popcorn bowl.

Ordering from a local wing shop. Wings 3 different ways, homemade beer batter onion rings and fried pickles. The same exact thing we ordered last Super Bowl - tradition, luck? We shall see. :thumb:

Everything being cooked on the RecTec/RecTek RT700.

Cooked the bacon and smoked the potato's for the Red White and Blue Potato Salad that's chilling in the fridge. Two Racks of Baby Backs have been going for about 2 1/2 hours. Getting ready to throw on my baked beans.

After the Chiefs win I think I will make some gourmet smores on the RecTec. We have some mini Graham Cracker pie crusts. I will make mine with Reeces Peanut Butter cups and my wife's will be made with Almond Joys!
