Doesn't seem like the most solid move the Raiders should do? There must be more to this story outside of just salary cap concerns, unless the Raiders are just absolutely buried under the cap this coming year, right?

He’s irresponsible, dude literally cost Raiders a draft pick for taking off his tracking bracelet. He was put on the covid list more than once, because he’s again, irresponsible.

He was also debating retirement before Raiders offered the Brinks truck, his heart is clearly not it.

If you’re gonna trust Carr, and make these moves, you’ve gotta show some results or be labeled for what the record says you are.

I could see them being a wild card team, but I think it’s more likely they finish 4th in the AFCW.

You'd better get used to it because some positions just can't be addressed in the draft and free agency every year while paying 5 players near or at the top of their position in terms of salary.

Raider fanbase is very split on Carr but I would guess more are already tired of "Chucky" and ready to move on. Mayocks rep is on the line this year for sure as most of his 1st round picks and FA acquisitions look like misses so far. Raider fanbase is sick of nearly 2 decades of dysfunction (barring 2016)

Gave Jackson would be good depth, but isn’t much of a run blocker. At close to league minimum I’m sure Veach would listen.

Gabe Jackson is just a cap casualty. Raiders are releasing him early as a sign of respect for his hard play and being a good teammate. The Raiders can't pay each OL 10+million and if it wasn't for the lower cap this year he would probably still be with the team.

Trent Brown is due 14 mill this year which is a reasonable contract for an elite LT. He has some trade value even though he has issues. Teams either draft a LT high or pay the money.

Besides the Raiders have to pay their 1st round LT soon and already have C Rodney Hudson signed for big money. Incognito may come back for another year and they probably will sign Good at guard for less money then Jackson. I'm also guessing they use their 1st on an OL prospect.

Nah, I respectfully disagree the Broncos have that wrapped up again this next year. But I will concede they will be fighting for the 4th place position but I think the Broncos win it again !!:D

He’s also been mostly a RG and we have Niang and LDT fighting fir that spot already...o I’m not sure where GJ would even fit. Not sure about his history on the left side.

I’d love to add him to the OL at LG for a year. 3m probably gets the deal done.

I know he’s old, but he’s still a high quality guard.

Hes not a good fit never has been. He fought his own teammates and spat on opponents. Solich sent him to some looney bin in Topeka his behavior didnt change did the same shit under Callahan who sent his ass packing. I think be lasted a week at Oregon.
