Dad and I used to collect baseball cards in the late 80s and early 90s. I think we have probably 25k cards in all... which he is currently trying to unload on me.

Anyone know what the hell I can do with these? I'd like to sell them as a whole lot if at all possible.

LotS of Ridge. I have verticals of Ridge estate CaB from 2012 to 2019. I have Monte Bello (4 bottles per year) from 2015-2019 (just got the 2019).

I’m trying to build my Burgundy. Have a few bottles of Echezaux from different producers and a few other Grand Crus. Have about a case of Chateau Montrose of various vintages over the past decade and about a case of Chateau Lynch Bages of various vintages.

I also have about 150-ish bottles of California odds and ends. I buy when I have $ and prices are good and drink otherwise.

Total: about 180ish bottles.

I have a collection of Vaseline Glass, most was made in the 1930's. The pieces appear to be greenish or yellowish and have uranium in them. Under a black light they glow. It is safe unless they become broke. Laugh, my housekeeper doesn't touch them. I have several selves behind my bar, it looks cool at night.

Also was at a farm auction in Illinois back in the 1990's. They pulled everything out of the house and stack all over the yard. There was a pile of books and no one around but me and an auctioneer. I bought for $1 and filled my jeep to the roof with old books. Come to find out some were first additions, and worth a few pennies. I sold the majority, but kept the Tarzan series and a dictionary published in Philadelphia in 1806. So not really a book collector but it fell into my lap. The leather back dictionary is rough, but willing to sell if anyone is interested.

Almost all of that is worthless unless it is key players rookie cards, and even then they have to be graded and grade well.

I feel ya there bro.

I got bored one night and started looking up the price of rare cards I had when I was a teen.

I had a Mox Diamond, Beta Demonic Hordes, Tropical Island and Savanna Revised dual lands, 4 Shivan Dragons, and a bunch of other rare cards from expansion packs up to Mirage.

I sold em all for $20 because I thought they were lame because I got picked on for playing it. Funniest part is, I actually sold em for $15 bucks, but my buddy gave me an extra 5 dollars because he felt bad that it took him forever to pay me.

Unless you have some great rookies or basketball rookies from the 80s. Most are worthless.

I had a guy try and sell me his mixed lot from late 80s to late 90s this week for 70bucks. 16k plus cards. I almost did it if he had better boxes and sleeves. There were no great notable cards. But the storage was almost worth it.

Now he's worth a good bit. Of course I also bought Slugger and every Mahomes that's come out. I'm gonna probably get the Whit Merrifield when it comes out. I have a decent collection of Homies. I got a bunch from the turnstyle vending machines at Los Corrals in KC in the early 2000s. Then people just started giving me theirs.

Can't imagine them being socially acceptable today so I have nearly all of them boxed up.

I was collecting Gavin Sheets (White Sox draft pick several years ago) baseball cards. I had quite a few autographed and numbered color ( including 2 or 3 1/1) etc. Those are long since gone from a house fire that was a total loss to everything a couple years ago. When I was a kid I collected baseball cards. For nostalgia, I still get the Topps baseball set every year. One day my kids can fight over who's 'not it' when they have to move the heavy totes to the trash.

I have a 2 autographed footballs (Montana & Dante Hall), baseballs (2 Ripken Jrs, Franciso Mejia, & a few Richmond Squirrels), pics (Mark Messier, Chuck Liddell, & Jason Lee), jerseys (Derrick Johnson & Eddie Murray), and mini helmets (Favre, Manning, Couch, Faulk, Dawson, & Unitas) but I don't consider myself to be a collector. I do have two Mahomes autographed mini helmets (I lost the autographed card in the fire). One of them is just his signature. The other has Mahomes, Hill, Sorenson, Fisher, Ward, and Breeland on it. I have exactly two Funco Pops. The Mahomes red and the Mahomes white jersey. I also get the mint set coins every year. I get my kids the football set each year but they couldn't care less about them.

Evel Knievel memorabilia and toys etc. (my favorite piece is two X-rays of his broken bones that I bought from his estate when he passed away)

And old flashlights.

Used to collect Handheld electronic games from the 70's/80's, BURGIE! beer memorabilia, and electronic motion beer signs. Sold off all that stuff in the early 2000's

I remember as a kid an ad for a red wing blackbird jitterbug with a largemouth bass jumping out of the water snatching a red wing blackbird off a branch. Thought it was so cool and wanted one real bad.

But like looch said, I don't think I've ever caught anything on a jitterbug either.

I was sold on those banjo minnow infomercials.

I used to actually use those jitterbugs when I was a kid.

I never caught a thing on it.

Great, great lure. You gotta use them when they are hitting on Topwater tho. I prefer Hula Poppers, but Jitterbugs are pretty damned fun too. And hour before and after Dawn/Dusk in the Summertime, at least on the small lake I fish, is a great topwater bite.

I started collecting rocks when I was a kid and just stuck with it. I try to get my girls interested in it in case one of them finds it interesting enough to pursue as a career later. They aren’t always into it, but if I’m able to take them somewhere that we can collect something with crystals or lots of color in it then they are way more into it.

Luckily, we had a boy, so he just wants to take all of the rocks home...lol.

Anyone have a complete thing collection they'd like to sell?

We were pretty poor growing up so I used to look down on owning things...

Now I got a little behind me I kind of like stuff, not limited to any one thing but pieces that speak to me, have eye appeal...

Got a man cave downstairs and a two shelf man closet in the bedroom so I see some fun stuff when I open the doors.

Car stuff, cards, coins, antiques, it's all badass.

I'm a collector at heart. I have a collection of everything it seems. Some of the highlights.....

- Sports Cards. Mostly football, but some baseball also. 70's through 86ish. Some newer, but that probably covers the bulk of my collection.

- Old Becketts. For whatever reason, I always saved my old Becketts. Although I don't collect Hockey, I do have 2 #1 Hockey with Wayne Gretzky on the cover. I figure I can sell those and be rich some day LOL

- NES and SNES. I have complete systems and games with original packaging well kept. Not just that box of wires and cartridges and system and etc. etc. that you see at yard sales.
