Evaluating the trade so far...

Chiefs get Orlando Brown Jr. and Nick Bolton.

Ravens get Jayson Oweh, Ben Cleveland, Shaun Wade and a 4th next year. Also our 5th next year for their 6th. They traded our 136 and their 210 for 160 (wade) and a 4th next year.

I love this trade for the Chiefs and it was absolutely the right thing to do at a very good price/value, brilliant!

However, the Ravens maximized this trade to perfection as well. If there is a front office that can hang with Veach and company, its the Ravens.

Your thoughts...

I honestly think it was a good trade for both teams.

There are, they traded 136/210 for 160 this year and a 4th next year. As stated in original post.

Both teams did well for themselves, but the only real shot the Ravens have against us is getting to Mahomes, and you gave the Chiefs a really good LT.

All things being equal, I think you lean the Chiefs here. Mahomes is 26-1 the last 27 games he played with a Pro Bowl caliber LT.

Ravens only get a 5th next year

The Ravens acquire three picks in next week's NFL draft -- a first-rounder (No. 31 overall), a third-rounder (No. 94) and a fourth-rounder (No. 136) -- as well as a fifth-round selection in 2022.

Orlando is the only known quantity- the rest are hopefuls. Advantage Chiefs!

If we didn't trade LT would be a huge question mark with whoever we took at 31. I could give a shit about the Ravens. You can also mark it down there is no way we get the best Center in the draft at 61 in Creed if we don't trade in the 3rd because we were probably going linebacker in the 2nd after we would have taken a fatty in T in the first, or vice versa.

He's not referring to the original trade. The Ravens traded back on the 4th we gave them and gained a 4th next year

It's a great trade for the Ravens if those dudes pan out.

For as good of a front office that the Ravens have, there's still the great filter of a draft class that all teams have to face, where at best, probably only about half of your draft choices pan out.

I'll be nice and give them Oweh and Cleveland.

I'd still rather be us with Orlando Brown and Bolten. Plus whatever lottery ticket 6th rounder we get back next year.

They gave us a LT to dominate the AFC again. Not sure that makes them smart when their only chance is Mahomes getting hurt
