People act like this is no big deal either way, but it shows a level of commitment from our players that isn't present on most of the other teams in the league. I highly doubt other organizations are seeing this kind of number based on all the posturing we've been seeing by NFLPA reps telling people not to show up.

I would expect an even better turn out for Phase III.

I'd say it probably has more to do with how our contracts are set up with bonus' attatched.

If that's the case then it just shows there is a level of commitment expected of players signing with this team that again is above and beyond what other teams are putting out there.

Either way, it's a good thing.

Eric Berry and Justin Houston skipped voluntary OTA’s after signing their fat contract extensions and it sort of foreshadowed their subsequent broke dick final seasons in KC.

I used to get dinner rolls at the bread store and after bowling and the bar stop by KFC for a pint of their gravy. Butter em and dip it in the gravy. Yum.

Yep. It changed my mind about both. Leaders LEAD, they don't sit out. It's why I don't cut Berry any slack when people talk about what he accomplished in KC, and why I'd never want to see Justin Houston in KC aver again. Not that it matters, it's just my take.

I feel like Mahomes doesn’t have a choice. He has to sit out because he’s our NFLPA rep and he has to show support for Tretter

Arrowhead has become a destination spot. Great fans, great quarterback, fantastic coaching staff, and shrewd GM. And it keeps getting better. The football culture in KC has reached elite status.

We were so lucky with Terez. He was one of us a fan of football and the Chiefs it seemed. These others just go through the motions with no passion.

What did you tell us?

That he's good enough to win a roster spot.

I mentioned it the other day but he was an All-American at UNI and at his pro-day posted better vertical and long jumps than any WR at the combine. He's 6'2" and runs a 4.46 40.

He's definitely a sleeper.

As long as the oline is there, that's all that matters. Those guys need time to gel. I'd love to be able to see the camp battles for C--->RT and see how they play out live but I'm sure the Chiefs won't be broadcasting that for the average fan.

The difference is this, and yes, I'm repeating myself but in case you missed it before.

1. First team All-American at University of Northern Iowa.
2. MVP of the East-West Shrine Bowl.
3. Was not invited to the Combine but ran a 4.46 at his pro day and also had a broad jump of 11' and a vertical of 43", both of which would have been the best of any WR at the combine.

He's actually a really good prospect, he's just had some injuries.

I'd have to find it, but basically he's an incredible athlete and would be a good signing for the Chiefs. I'm not even suggesting he makes the roster, but it wouldn't surprise me given his incredible athleticism.

(He attended minicamp on a tryout.)

And that tryout resulted in him getting a contract and Tajae Sharpe getting cut.
