Every time someone talked about Quinn they also said he'd need a new contract and if that is the case I don't think we want to pay the kind of money his agent will want. That soured me on the whole thing.

Dunlap, OTOH, has kinda gone the other direction. At this point he's really mostly a situational pass rusher. I guess if you rotated him and Danna they would be pretty decent complements to each other.

In short spurts he might provide some of that burst that we so desperately need opposite of Karlaftis. There's just NOBODY on this DL that you have to worry about beating you to the spot. You can damn near drive block the whole stinking line.

I would say if a veteran the caliber of Dunlap is visiting once camp has already begun, there's a pretty good chance the Chiefs know approximately what he's looking for financially and all that's left to do is see if he's a fit with the organization. Obviously, the positional need is clearly there.

I'd be pretty shocked if he doesn't sign pretty quickly, and he's quite a decent addition this late. If you can get 7 sacks out of him this year, that's a huge win.
