Also with Willie Gay going out with back problems. We needed versatile depth that knows the D. This may mean that Gay is out for some time once again.

Harris was our backup choice to bring in, the first choice was Ben Niemann. The Broncos elevated him to block us from picking him up off their PS.

Reid/Spags like guys who know the playbook and Niemann was one of those guys he just couldn't play up to the playbook because he was always a dollar short and a day late getting to the play allowing 3rd down conversions. Glad we didn't get him that is for sure on top of being severely undersized.;)

I thought he played really well in his few starts last year, but apparently they even tried to sign Niemann over him so they must not agree with me. :)
