This Patriots team actually has more talent than the team that selected Bledsoe but arguably the 2 best defenders(Judon and Gonzalez) got injured early on. That Patriots team after drafting Bledsoe did a good job adding talent but it took a few years and then they drafted poorly which led to Bledsoe failing.

Get number 1 pick. Trade down to around 4. Maybe grab Harrison Jr if he declares or a left tackle if that is the best player.

The advantage of getting number 1 pick isn't just the first round, you are picking early in every round.

Use cap space wisely. As much as I still like him, trade Belichick for a 2nd round pick since that is necessary for my next move.

Bring back Brady for one last run as GM, offensive coordinator/play caller and QB. If Brady wants to stay retired, keep Belichick. Sign a journey man that is average like Baker Mayfield and a backup QB that can run.

I've never seen a QB like Mac Jones. Capable of being 85% of Tom Brady in his best games like against Buffalo but also capable of just awful throws even a 10th grader wouldn't miss by as much. End of the day, he lacks arm strength and makes too many bad decisions/throws so Patriots need to relegate him to a backup.

Caleb Williams has a nice arm and can run fairly well but I question his size/height and accuracy. He would without a doubt be an upgrade over what Mac Jones has become but a bunch of other QBs would.

Agree, for a group that knows the play, knows the snap count, and has the ball, there's NO reason they should be allowed to get away with either movements before the snap (O-line), or bullshit hard-counts where the QB is not only totally simulating a snap, but also 100% moving with their body. Again, those infractions are only called when an official wants to, but they happen all the time.

But I'm reasonable, if they'll agree to remove the "simulating the snap" penalty from the D (vocal and with motion (not over the line)), then the O can do their non-football bullshit. If fucking stupid that a QB can do a hard-count but the D can't clap or say "hut".
