If we just switched with Matt Stafford or Josh Allen all of these years and still had Kelce and Hill I think we still win at least one SB but likely not 2.

I'm a little worried that it's a trick question. I'm going to assume that the quarterback in the poll is Patrick Mahomes II and not Patrick Mahomes.

Yep. I think we win the 1st one, but nor the 2nd.

Not a chance Stafford or Allen come back from 24 down against the Texans.

Might not be soon enough. The Browns are going to make noise in the playoffs. They're pretty darn good.

I'm not buying it. Flacco is a statue in the pocket. He's going to get smashed in three playoffs.

CJ Stroud bc he's making pennies and that team has picks, Tank Dell and Will Anderson making pennies and as much cap space as any team to load that team up like the 49ers

Mahomes is still the GOAT. But at this point, I would install a Trent Dilfer type of offense to try and game manage and let the defense carry us to playoff victories. Or run that type of offense that Peyton Manning had to run in Denver when they won that Superbowl. We probably don't really have the running game for it though, we seem to often average 2.5 yards per carry.

Mahomes any day of the week. Allen has Diggs, Burrow has Chase and Higgins, Tua has Waddle and Hill. Mahomes has MVS and Moore. Swap receivers with those guys and see whose stats get better and whose get worse.

The Chiefs have the best starting quarterback. Get a better backup (tackles, wide receivers, etc)

I've been through the years of Steve DeBerg, Trent Green, Elvis Gerbac, Rich Gannon, Todd Blackledge, and Tyler Thigpen.

I don't want to see those days again. I am so glad this is a joke thread.

Kermit Hands Down is the best QB in the NFL but I wouldn't have wanted him on Christmas Day 2023

Of current NFL QBs, I'd pick Josh Allen first and Mahomes 2nd if it was just for the next 2-3 years and salaries weren't a consideration.

That is hardly a diss to Mahomes since I think as of right now, those two deserve to be well ahead of whoever is number 3. Allen is very underrated while someone like Joe Burrow has been overrated. Diggs is overrated especially at this stage and the Bills have 2 very bad contracts on defense and plenty of injuries.

And before folks simply say Allen hasn't done much in the post season, I actually think his 2 game stretch in playoffs vs New England and Chiefs is the best back to back playoff performances by anyone in terms of value in 40+ years. For all of their greatness, Bradshaw, Montana, Marino, Elway, Manning, Brady, Mahomes etc. never put up back to back games like Josh Allen did in the playoffs. The only real criticism of Allen in those 2 games is the 2021 Patriots and that Chiefs team were not great defensively. But Allen wasn't working with that much on offense and the evidence of that is in the Chiefs game when Allen wasn't throwing or passing, Bills offense looked like utter garbage.

And even in one of his "bad" playoff games if folks watched the game fairly, Chiefs got away with a lot of holding and Chiefs as a team outside of QB were just better than the Bills.

I haven't seen enough out of CJ Stroud to say he is a can't miss top 5 NFL QB but given his contract, he is the one QB I would think about putting above Allen and Mahomes over the next 2-3 seasons since with the cap savings one could sign 2 fairly high impact players.

I don't think Josh Allen will have a long career but he has been truly great so far. I get the turnovers but lots of TDs come with them and Allen has never had what Mahomes has had on offense or what Brady had in Tampa those first 2 years when his receivers were healthy and didn't go AWOL.

Lamar Jackson deserves some consideration as well but unlike Allen and Mahomes, Jackson has disappointed in the playoffs even adjusting for the fact that he hasn't had great talent on offense.

My choice was 2018 Mahomes.
