I realize we have a stable of young, average running backs but would Avery help our squad? He may not be good enough to bump T. Davis or O. Gary but would he improve our team? I'm still not sold on this unit, however, I don't know if this guy could help. What do you guys think?

He failed in Miami before that, not exactly HB central. He's no better than what we have. In fact, he's worse.

Wow, that's fairly black and white! He's got an average of over 5 yards per carry this Spring behind denver's below average http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif line. I also like his speed....you guys apparently don't!

Something's wrong if you can't make it at HB in Miami. Though his speed is intriguing I don't see Gun playing a 5-9 190lb HB. Not his style, not a big enough cloud of dust.

I agree, he's too little for our system. However, the fact that he couldn't make it in Miami isn't dispositive...no back suceeds there. I don't know if its the play calling or the line but they've struggled at RB for decades.

With Jimmy Raye's play calling (read "run up Grunny's butt") there is very little chance that Avery would be an upgrade to what we already have.
