A better question or polll would be when will Pena get fired? I'll take August 15.

Pena won't get fired. He'll get every opportunity to succeed, or should I say improve the team. The biggest issue will be the impovement of a young pitching staff. Recent history would indicate that a former catcher is one of the best men to do that. Besides, it's darn near impossible to lose more than 100 games and anything better would be an improvement, sadly enough.

I just want the team to be more competitive. The team a couple of years ago (I think it was '99) that had all the comeback wins... they lost quite a few games, but they were always in them in the 7th, 8th, 9th innings. I'll go watch a team like that, it's just tough to get motivated to go to the ballpark after going to a few that they are out of by the 3rd or 4th inning.

I'm hoping for at least 65-70 wins this year. Of course, IF the young 'uns come around.....

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 70 wins.

Assuming Beltran stays, I see a lot of 8-6, 10-8 type games.

Unfortunately because of KC's young pitching staff, I also see ending up on the short side of most of those games.

Prediction:
I believe the team will be better than last year, and will be surprised if they don't win 70 games.

If Beltran is traded, the team will implode and be lucky to win 50, because we all know Baird won't get jack in return for him.

The Royals may get to the point where they have to metric their wins to be in the playoffs. Double it and add 30.
