Hey AZ - That's cool that you play bass! I was going to play bass in a band, but then a little detail got in the way of that (I think the detail might have been that I've never played before). So then I was going to sing, but the fact that I have no talent ended that also. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

bwana,

I tried on ebay, but the other "stuff" that was "similar" in category was so much cheaper(looking if youask me) that i didn't have any luck.

I don't push it too actively now that i'm not at rodeos as much. I sent one to Ohio last week, 4 to the east coast last year..I'd be happy to ship a bunch to montana!!personally for a hunting trip

Shannon,

It's all about the "bottom end". Grab a bass and play for a few years, you may not become a master but you'll definetly improve! I really enjoy it. I grew up playing in little punk and ska bands through high school/college and had a blast. During law school I had a few friends I jammed with and have always found playing (and listening to) music very relaxing. Don't worry about "talent" and being "good" just worry about having fun and the rest will come!

Pete: Montana and hunting may not have a lot in common this year. If you haven't seen it on the news, about half of Montana is on fire right now. Hell, I'm going to have to come down to KC for opening day just to catch a little fresh air. They have already delayed a lot of the big game seasons as well as bird seasons and if we don't get some rain soon, hunting season is toast. If it comes down to that, I have three labradors that are going to be very bummed!

Well, let's see...

Born in Albany GA.
Moved to Topeka KS at age 6, where I became a life-long Chiefs fan.
Moved to Tennessee at age 11
Enlisted in USAF 1983, married shortly there after, recently divorced, with a 16 yr old son.
Have been stationed in Goldsboro, NC, Madrid, Spain, Marysville CA, Lajes Fld, Azores, and currently living in Tampa, FL.

Music would be my other big interest outside of the Chiefs; also getting more into computer/IT stuff, though I am very much a novice as of yet. Even still, I was recently given the job of LAN Admin for my flight--66 people, 20 or so machines--Even though I have no schooling and they won't send me to formal training, or even buy me an NT User's guide! So I'm pretty much flying blind--It's interesting, though.

Born and raised in Marion Iowa in 1964. The first football game I remember seeing on t.v. was the '71 Christmas day game vs. Miami. My dad told me Podolak was from Iowa and went to the U of I. I was hooked from that day on.
I work in technical support for a small consulting firm in Des Moines.
I have a wonderful wife who puts up with living with a 36 year old who refuses to grow up. We have 2 cats.
Other interests include: home theater(happy to answer any questions) my 86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer(Log), golf (I stink) and any other activities that allow beer drinking.
I love to read the BB and wish I could post more often, but I only come here when I'm at work.
Oh yeah, I'm not looking forward to watching K-State destroy Iowa Saturday.

I see there were a couple of others who mentioned horses (Mark Lyon and stevieray at least). I have always loved to do showjumping, foxhunting and eventing.....that sort of thing. Good luck with your quarterhorses!

Hey, I have a question about Guinness. When I went to France a couple of decades ago, I was layed over in Ireland.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Guinness here in the states, but I am troubled. Why does the brew taste Soooooooooooo much better while in Eire than here?

Russ,

I'm doing great. How are you? Guinness does taste a lot different at home. I've heard that it is brewed somewhere near Boston, but I am not sure about that. It is definitely brewed in England, and doesn't taste too good there..........So I am not sure if it's the different brewery over here (if there is one) or if it loses something during all the transport (that's the other common argument). It's kind of an enigma!

What part of Ireland were you in?

Sorry about the delay in replying........

My name is Brian Kemerling. I am a transplant not only from the KC Chiefs BB, but from the Kansas City, Missouri area. I currently live in the Columbus, Ohio area. I have been a KC Chiefs fan since the mid 70's. I have actually gone to KC games in Buffalo, Chicago and Indy. I am saddened that my wife and I will not be able to partake of any Chiefs games this year.

I would really like to hear from other Central Ohio Chiefs fans to be able to watch the Chiefs games with other Chiefs games.
