The Twins entered the game Tuesday with a 4.24 earned run average, which ranked fourth in the American League. The team ERA inflated to 4.39 after the loss.
The Royals' record over the last 10 games is 7-3, bettered in MLB only by the Dodgers' 8-2.
The heart of the lineup is really heating up... over the last week, Beltran is hitting .471 with 5 SBs, Sweeney is hitting .333 with 2 HRs and 11 RBI, and even Ibanez and Harvey are breaking out of their slumps. Now if the bullpen can just get it's swagger back...
