For Opening Day 2004, I project this lineup:

1. David DeJesus - LF
2. Angel Berroa - SS
3. Carlos Beltran - CF
4. Mike Sweeney - DH
5. Joe Randa - 3B
6. Ken Harvey - 1B
7. Aaron Guiel - RF
8. Brent Mayne - C
9. Desi Relaford - 2B

Unless we make a huge trade to get a guy like Luis Castillo for 2B and our leadoff hitter, and the fact that we won't be able to keep Raul Ibanez, the price will be too high if we shell out the cash to keep Carlos Beltran. I can live with that, I think Ken Harvey can pick up the slack left by Ibanez in his sophomore season. I suppose we'll find out about David DeJesus in 2004.

What about R. White. He has stated that he wants to stay in KC. Would he be willing to take a pay cut.

Starting Rotation

1. Brian Anderson
2. Darryl May
3. Jimmy Gobble
4. Kevin Appier/Jose Lima
5. Zack Grienke

Left out of the rotation

K. Synder
P. Abbott
M. Asencio

I hope we sign Anderson back. If doesn't go back to Cleveland we should get him.

It will be an interesting off season for once, to see where the Royals will go to try and keep the team the same and improve on this season.

DeJesus will probably fit into this somehow.

I would love to see Zack Greinke in the starting rotation, but I just don't see Kansas City bringing him up so soon, so young. I would love to see Jeremy Affeldt solve his blister problems and be an awesome starter, we need an ace pitcher to go out there and pitch well every night out.

Well with David DeJesus batting well over .400 in the Arizona Fall League right now, it really does look pretty good having him atop the batting order.

Desi Relaford sucks... they will ditch him in the offseason.

Doubtful. Baird has already said he'll be the everday 2nd baseman next year. Dude played the entire second half of the season hurt, that's why his production fell off.
