In honor of all the political threads

MILWAUKEE -- There was some monkey manure mayhem Tuesday on Milwaukee's Zoo Interchange.
.
A county truck carrying a load of monkey waste spilled across three lanes of traffic in the Zoo Interchange at about 10:45 a.m.

.
It closed both eastbound Interstate 94 and southbound Highway 45/I-894, but the lanes were reopened by 2:30 p.m.

.
The spill occurred because of a faulty latch on the county truck that was transporting the waste, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.

.
The truck left the scene by 12:15 p.m. The vehicle can carry up to 2,000 gallons, but it's not known how much waste it was hauling.

An environmental specialist was called to supervise the cleanup.

.
Milwaukee County Zoo spokeswoman Jennifer Diliberti said the waste and algae was dredged from a moat at Macaque Island.

.
They dredge it twice a year and send it to a landfill in Franklin.

"I think it's comparable to any sort of sewage," she said. "One of the zookeepers said from a scale of one to 10, the smell's a nine," Diliberti said.

.
Diliberti said the waste doesn't pose a health risk and can simply be washed off the interstate.

.
The material had been "aged" at the zoo for 48 hours before being loaded into a Milwaukee County Parks Department truck for removal, she said.

.
That destroys any virus that might be in the material, she said.

Why did they not listen to my warnings! This is the first step in the monkeys' takeover of the transportation system!

This is a huge evolutionary leap from merely throwing feces. I'm telling you, this is much bigger news than just a slick highway. They've raised the stakes of the game.

Hmmm, where's Caudle? I think Rainman may be on to something here and Brad has GOT to be behind it! Wonder if he is still Logical's henchman? I think a thorough investigation is fully warranted.

Everything always relates back to Pink Floyd. To wit:

(Pink Floyd's 1971 LP) Meddle's physical appearance is also far less striking than that of its predecessor, and evinced little of the care and imagination that would go into packaging DSOTM and WYWH. Many fans are still unaware that Bob Dowling's cover photo, which looks at first glance like a random shot of a psychedelic blob show, actually depicts an ear picking up waves of sound, represented by ripples of water. Meddle remains Storm Thorgerson's least favorite of all hipgnosis Floyd album designs, though he demurs that the concept was essentially dictated by the band. His original suggestion, vetoed by the powers that be, had been a close-up of a baboon's anus

Marketing idea: Spreading monkey poop all over the asphalt could add some excitement to Nascar. Wait, I take that back. Nascar already has a firm demographic with the apes in the audience.

Between the brewery yeast and the sweet smell of the stockyards, Milwaukee ALWAYS stinks.

In fact, the monkey shit was probably an improvement. :spock:

You may laugh, but I'm not kidding.

I can remember being stuck in rush hour traffic on I-94. It was a brutally hot humid summer day and my air conditioning was out, so I had the windows down (like it would have mattered). The combination of odors emanating from the city that day was indescribably vile. The oppressive humidity made it something you could almost taste. I thought I was going to puke. No wonder those people go through life drunk. :D

And don't even get me started on the cabbage fields in the area. When that shit is ripe, it smells like the whole state farted. Yuck.
