View Full Version : Need help! 2 IR players in a keeper league

I'm in a league (typical performance scoring) that allows for 6 keepers each year, along with 2 players on IR. The 2 IR players are basically free next season (count as your last 2 picks in rounds 17 and 18).

My team is as follows:

QB: Brooks, Carr
RB: M. Faulk, C. Martin, Chris Brown, T. Jones, Q. Griffin, Onterrio Smith
WR: R. Moss, Chad Johnson, Driver, Gage, Josh Reed, K.Washington, Darius Watts

We start 2 backs and 4 WRs.

I'm really torn on who to put on my IR. The two backs I'm considering are Onterrio Smith and Chris Brown. I'm really deep at RB, so I'm tempted to sit on Brown for a year and get him free next year. But, RBs have a finite shelf life, so I also don't want to eat a year of productivity. I'm considering Calico (due to injury), Washington and Watts for a spot on my IR also. I want at least one back on IR, but would also consider 2 in Brown and Smith if I really wanted to stack my WR next year. If I put only Smith on the IR, I'll probably try to deal Griffin for WR depth.

Right now I'm leaning to Smith and Calico, but I'm having a very hard time making a final decision.

I'd appreciate any advice.
