Rain Man

I gave a presentation yesterday on the other end of downtown, so I hitched a ride back to my office on the free shuttle bus that runs up and down the pedestrian area. It's a standup bus like a trolley, so it's easy to move around inside.
I'm standing at the back of the bus, and some fiftyish lady further forward gives me a little wave. I don't recognize her, but I meet a lot of people, so I just smile and wave back.
She keeps looking at me, and the next time I look over, she waves again and nods questioningly. I conclude that she knows me, and even though I still can't place her at all, I go over to her, trying desperately to remember where we might have met.
When I say hi, she says, "You're on TV."
I say, "Right now?"
She says, "No. You're that guy off of Third Rock from the Sun, right?"
First time I've had the Lithgow comparison in years. Either that, or I'm starting to look like French Stewart now.
That's it. That's the story. It's a slow news day here in Denver.
In an unrelated story, I talked to a stalker of Mickey Rooney's on the same bus several years ago. I'll save that one for Christmas, though.
