When I'm recording a game on TiVo, do I need to record the program after it incase the game goes over the scheduled time? I need to know so I can record the NE/IND game tonight. Thanks.

When you set it to record the game there is a setting for extending the end time. I always set the Chiefs game to record, then I add 30 extra minutes.

It's under "Recording Options". You can add up to 3 hours.

:hmmm: I learned my lesson with the Green Bay game last season. Now I ALWAYS add extra time when recording Chiefs games.

I am tehtivon00b, but I'm adding at least an hour to every football broadcast I tape. Better safe than sorry.

The answer is not NO, but a modified NO

In you setup there is an option to record beyond the end, 1 Minute, 2 Minutes, 5 minutes and 15 minutes and 30 minutes. Games are preprogrammed for 3 hours so I usually choose the option for 30 minutes beyond to be safe.

Do not record the next program. Instead, adjust the end time. I usually give it an extra hour on football games.
