Yes, he's a jack@ss, but I was impressed with the way he managed to get 1st round draft pick Steven Jackson involved in the offense, even while Marshall Faulk was having a great game.

Stats:
Faulk---22 carries, 128 yards, 5.8 ypc, 2 catches, 17 yards
Jackson---7 carries, 50 yards, 7.1 ypc, 0 catches

Why couldn't Saunders incorporate LJ in our offense like this?

Because Priest is better than Faulk!

Yes, that's true. But here's the thing. When we start a drive on our 20, and Priest runs about 4 times in a row for about 25 yards, he comes out and we bring Blaylock in. That's usually when we start trying to pass, and our drive ends up stalling around the 50 yard line.

What I'm saying is, after Priest gashes the defense and then needs a breather, why not bring in LJ to gash them some more for a couple plays while Priest catches his breath?

This thread is kind of stupid if you ask me.

The Rams scored all of 17 points. Against the CARDINALS! :shake:

But yes, Martz is a genious.

My god, I think I know how first grade teachers feel now.

Forget about the Rams. If our drives are stalling because Priest has to come out of the game for a breather, and we bring in Blaylock and throw the ball as a result, then LJ should be getting those snaps and running the ball instead of changing our play calls to accomodate Blaylock.

Maybe Jackson is better than LJ?

I would agree that LJ should be getting those snaps...unless...

Blaylock is better than LJ.

And maybe we should be throwing more with Priest in the game.

Cards might have a decent D this year. They could have really made a move this year in the NFC West if they did not have so many injuries to the skill players.
