I'm saying that the refs had a huge influence on the outcome of the game--

I know, I know, I'm going to be crucified for this--flame me all you want--

but let's face it--it's obvious cliche, but the refs could call holding on ANY play of the game--running play, pass, punt, field goal attempt, etc...

the hold on kennison on the 41 yard run of priest holmes was piss poor--kennison was 6 yards off the ball as priest was running THROUGH the hole about to break free, the supposed hold (which was borderline if you ask me) had NOTHING to do with the run, and ultimately on that drive, the chiefs punted--take away the hold that you could've called on ANY of the panthers' touchdowns, and you give us better field position, an obvious amount of momentum (obviously, a 41 yard scamper by your RB pumps everyone up), and you can add 7 points to the scoreboard for the chiefs--theoretically, without the punt giving the panthers decent field position and the defense pumped up at our offense actually playing worth a damn, and maybe that gives them a stop on ensuing drive--

all I'm saying is that looked at in a certain light, the refs changed the outcome of the panthers game--I haven't blamed the refs for years, and the chiefs should've sacked up and played worth a damn--saunders should've called a game more reminescent of an NFL offensive coordinator instead of someone's 80 year old grandmother (cliche numero dos), but--the refs aren't supposed to do sh*t like that

The Refs have inserted themselves in the game far too much for my taste.

But I cannot hang this loss on the Referees when our Porsche Offense looked like a Yugo.

true, and most of my post was an insertion that possibly they might've started acting more like a porche than a yugo taking away the obvious miscall--but that's a huge leap of faith

This isn't about our game, but I thought it was pretty pathetic that the refs missed an obvious hold on a Donovan McNabb TD run last night, only to call holding against Minnesota when Culpepper ran one in a short while later.

I've not been impressed at ALL regarding officiating this year

If a bad call is all it takes to break the team’s spirit, then we are doomed, ‘cause I can guarantee that there will be beaucoup bad calls all season long.

However, I see your point. The call came after a big run and squashed our momentum. Since our momentum stayed crushed for the rest of the game, I have to think that the call itself was not the major factor.

Not expecting anything better from the Refs.

I'll blame the refs. Why not? I'm sick of blaming the team...

...yup. It's the refs, the dirty rotten fuggers!!

I don't think the call was made at all. Now if you mean the holding call on Johnny Morten, :p then it might have at least given the offense some semblemence of momentum.
