You are correct, it was Brian Billick and it was the old Veteran's Stadium in Philly but it was a pre-season game not a regular season game.

Just look at the condition of the field, that's how much they care about the NFL. Instead they are rushing to put a bandaid on it. You can't polish a turd.

As I understood it, the field condition is due to a concert that happened this week. I'm also not sure why they'd be reimbursing for travel.

And no, I don't think the NFL would move the game and give all the money to charity. I do think they wouldn't lose nearly as much as you think they would. I do think it's laughable for any of us to pretend we have ANY idea what their insurance policy looks like.

And I do think that the NFL could take a break from their usual toothless propaganda to do something useful for millions of people in a state they make a shit ton of money off of.

Look, if you're not going to actually pay attention before spouting off nonsense, then there's no point in having a discussion about it.

1. The damage was caused by a Shakira concert on October 11th.
2. The tweet I replied to suggested that "Those who bought tickets would get refunds and there’s business interruption and other insurance to assist w/ reimbursements, etc." I'm not sure what reimbursements she would be referring to aside from travel expenses.
3. The tweet I replied to suggested that they should "donate proceeds to support those impacted by and those fighting the fires."

So you blast me for suggesting her plan is unrealistic, then acknowledge that you had no idea how long they've known about this and that you don't really think they should do the things she suggested they do. Forgive me for not giving your thoughts much credence here.
