Following it up on ESPN2's Baseball Tonight, where they showed a clip of the umpiring crew chief said that if the runner intentionally interfere (meaning knock someone down intentionally to avoid being tagged out), then the ball becomes dead, the interferer is out, and nobody can advance, meaning the other baserunners goes back to their origional occupying base.

Yep, they just had an umpires press conference on Baseball Tonight. That's exactly how the crew chief explained it, the runner had to return to his original base.
