I think it's cool when people know their lineage. I believe I'm English, for the most part. My mother's maiden name is Petre and my last name is Endicott. Both English from what I've gathered. I've tried tracing back the Endicott name. I believe my great great great.....etc grandfather was John C. Endicott. SOme governor of New York.

Anyway, what does this have to do with female vocalists? And do you mean that their voice turns you on, or their looks? Or both?

Yep. It shows you exactly what is so bad about having a national church.

True. They have a rich and lengthy history, often intermingled. I see them as two distinct cultures even through all of those ties. My mother's family officially moved from Scotland to Ireland and intermarried after a time. I don't know why they moved to Scotland. Records weren't kept.

Just to use this post as a segue, if anyone in town is looking for something to do on New Years Eve, the Highland Games and the St. Andrew Society will be having the inaugural Hogmanay celebration at Harry’s Country Club on the City Market.

We hope to have Hazel play a few traditional songs and lead us in a very traditional version of Bobby Burns’s song.

The Scotch will be flowing the pipes will be playing and we plan to have a very good time for this first footing event.

I wish I could show up and represent Clan Morrison but it isn't going to happen. Down a shot for me.

If I must I must, it’s a big sacrifice on my part but I will choke down a dram of single malt for you.

I’ll be geared out in my Clan McLean colors.
