Don't count on it; remember the idiot who is the head coach.

He's not that thick-skulled that he can't see the huge hole we have at Wide Receiver. We currently have two that I can name. Parker's an Unrestricted Free Agent. We couldn't line up and play a game with what we have today.

They're definitely going to get help.
Either through Free Agency or the Draft... And maybe both.

You mean like the huge holes he ignored on the "O"-line?

I expect Webb to figure into the Wide Receiver equation...and he should.
He's got one more year to make something of himself in my mind.

But he's hardly ready to be a #3 let alone a starter.
He's going to have to scrap his way into a bigger role...

We still need a legitimate starter. And it's not Parker (though I would bring him back to be our #3).

The cupboard wasn't as bare there. And they did bring McIntosh in who was one of the best Offensive Line options available when he was signed.

Like I said, I wouldn't worry about it...
I'd almost wager on the Chiefs bringing in 1-2 Wide Receivers.

I say the heck with a FA WR. Let's draft Jordy Nelson!

Nobody IGNORED the offensive line.

They addressed it. Incorrectly.

I will admit the chiefs did address the offensive line incorrectly. I agree with you on that. Failing to draft a tackle before or after Roaf retired was proof of that.

I am convinced though, there are some good offensive line prospects in the later rounds. I think there are some good offensive tackles in the 2nd round. And a guard or a center you can usually get one in the 3rd or 4th rounds.

In case you were wondering the market price for someone like Berrian...

Bears | Berrian turns down $25 million offer
Thu, 28 Feb 2008 05:50:22 -0800 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears WR Bernard Berrian, who is soon-to-be an unrestricted free agent, was offered a five-year deal from the Bears worth $25 million. The deal included $8 million in the form of a signing bonus. Berrian, however, turned the proposal down and will test the free-agent water.

BB can take a flyin' leap. An average of $5million per year is more than fair for Berrian. I wouldn't even call his agent. Prima-donna.

We already have a possession receiver, we need a PLAYER WHO CAN STRETCH THE FIELD to compliment Bowe.

berrian is the new kennison with more dropsies

Micjones 02-28-2008 10:34 AM

Berrian may just want out of Chicago...

Though I'm sure his asking price isn't far off so scratch his name off of the list.
