It isn't so much emotional attachment to Gonzo, Mr. ChiefsCountry. At least, not in my case. Although, to be honest, I see him as the best player we have and I'd like to see him retire as a Chief. My dismay with Herm eclipses all.

I definately agree, however I don't believe either of those two have made the same contribution. If this were about Shields before he retired, I would feel the same way.

It's entirely possible that Gonzo bought into Herm's bullcrap early on. Herm's a good salesman, after all. I mean, he has to be because he sure as heck didn't get where he is today based on his own skills and talent and intelligence.

Nevertheless, sometimes you don't realize just how bad things can possibly be until you're actually in the sh*t. I think that's probably what happened with TG ... he broke and decided he'd rather win a playoff game somewhere else than be part of a team the entire league laughs at.

tony gave this franchise a hall of fame career....he actually has earned the right to do what ever the **** he wants....

I think he's the best we have right now, Mr. OnTheWarpath58. The most consistent. The most reliable. The most experienced. The most proven. Etc.
