So Tony's a victim of circumstance that this is happening near the end of his career?

Trust me, Mr. FAX. I'm not trying to be a contrarian on this issue - I'm really not.

But it's not like Carl suckered Tony into signing a new deal, then opened a hallway door to have Herm jump out and say "Gotcha, sucker!"

If Tony actually thought that he had a chance to win a SB with the Chiefs before he retired, then shame on him. Because that is absolutely ****ing bat-shit crazy, and he knows it.

It isn't so much emotional attachment to Gonzo, Mr. ChiefsCountry. At least, not in my case. Although, to be honest, I see him as the best player we have and I'd like to see him retire as a Chief. My dismay with Herm eclipses all.

I wanted Tony traded for his own sake and to get us compensation but i don't feel sorry for him, he got his $$$!

No, we don't.

We also don't have half the league losing 12 games a year.

I'm just guessing half the league aren't on the hall of fame track either.

This is kind of a special case, wouldn't you say?

No, not really.

This is the 2nd time in his entire career he's been on a team that has lost 10 or more games?

It's not like he's been suffering his entire career.

I definately agree, however I don't believe either of those two have made the same contribution. If this were about Shields before he retired, I would feel the same way.

It's entirely possible that Gonzo bought into Herm's bullcrap early on. Herm's a good salesman, after all. I mean, he has to be because he sure as heck didn't get where he is today based on his own skills and talent and intelligence.

Nevertheless, sometimes you don't realize just how bad things can possibly be until you're actually in the sh*t. I think that's probably what happened with TG ... he broke and decided he'd rather win a playoff game somewhere else than be part of a team the entire league laughs at.

Do you think he's the best player we have right NOW, or are you saying that based on his past accomplishments?

How do you compare the contributions of players that play entirely different positions?

what is the point of this couch potato moralizing?

tony gave this franchise a hall of fame career....he actually has earned the right to do what ever the **** he wants....

the idea that he owes anything to **** wad clowns like carl or herm is hilarious....the idea that he has to play for a shitty franchise for ever just because true fans say so is even ****ing funnier, or sadder...or just more dumb....

I think he's the best we have right now, Mr. OnTheWarpath58. The most consistent. The most reliable. The most experienced. The most proven. Etc.

Who else is better? DJ? Bowe? LJ? Waters? None of those guys excel at their position like TG does at his.

Pro Bowls, years of quality service, was that a serious queation or are you just arguing for the sake of arguing?

Amen.

ClevelandBronco 10-14-2008 10:34 PM

Okay. Whatever. Cut the guy.

He's obviously a locker room cancer.

Don't let me ever see you brag about Gonzalez again. Not when Herm is fired at the end of this season and Tony shines for four or six more seasons. Not even when Tony's inducted.

Because I'll pull up every one of these posts you've made tonight.

Excel?

Or excelled?

Just to clarify.
