My guess is that since all the folks in the know say this has been coming that CH does have a GM in mind and he wants them to know that the job is coming open before anybody "commits" to Detroit or Cinncy or any other franchises that are gonna have openings. That said, I also think that cleaning out the D, ST coaches gets rid of alot of the dead wood while keeping HE and Chan provides continuity and the players play hard for HE and Gailey has shown progress with the O. The players haven't quit on HE this year and many other team's players would have rolled over by now a packed it in. HE is gone next year anyway unless a miracle happens for him. HE has started the rebuild and has done well with the draft to this point. Of course, if a new GM wants to clean house completely that's okay too. I don't automatically think that a new GM is horrible if he decides to let HE play out his contract nor will I think he is the Savior if he fires him.

It's also 50/50 I'll win the lottery today.

Either way I'm right...

IF we get a NFL GM from a winning organization, he will want his own guys. IF we promote someone beyond their skill level, whom is over his head, he will keep Herm out of fear to rock the boat so early on...

Herm being here or not will tell us alot about the direction of the franchise.

Dissagree completely. A shrewd GM will use this as an opportunity to evaluate the team for a year prior to making that decision.

A shrewd GM doesn't need a year to evaluate Herm...

I could careless if you agree or not...

That wouldnt be a shrewd GM, it would be a foot shuffling porter to Herm and Clark...

A respectible NFL caliber GM would tell Clark, thanks but no thanks...
