You may as well hire Marty Schottenheimer.

Who do you think should be hired (if Herm is actually removed, of course)?

And where will you be then?

But by all means; all you scientists out there please keep pimping whatever ****ing no-name dicksmack gets your two-inch wang hard.

:cuss:

See...this guy has bought into the legend of Bill Cowher as well...

The guy is a good football coach...but before that Super Bowl Pitt fans were calling for his head on a year to year basis...especially during the whole Kordell Stewart/Tommy Maddox run...Cowher lucked into Big Ben and that's that...

Now everyone thinks he's a top 3 football coach and that was never the case...

If Denver signs Bill Belichick, then color me worried...but the mere presence of Cowher with their current roster doesn't really scare me.

i can't believe this thread is growing faster then the "carl resigns" thread

I'd LOVE this guy as a head coach.

C'mon, 8-8 with the injuries he had is incredible. Herm's yacking about bad luck and blaming youth when we go 2-14, meanwhile Shanahan had it worse than us and managed to play .500 ball. That's pretty damn impressive.

Would I want him as my GM? Nope, too much power and responsibility for one guy. But I'd take him (and his hatred for our two biggest rivals) on our sideline all day, every day.

I'll put Jason Garrett in Denver. I think Garrett needs to get out of Dallas, plus Bowlen loves offensive coaches.

Totally true...but as someone pointed out this next year is pretty much a free year for the GM if they keep Herm...

Personally, with so much invested in our 2008 draft, I'm ready for an entire new coaching staff capable of developing Dorsey...because I swear to God if Dorsey is a bust it's just going to set back this team even more...we really need him to be the stud he was advertised as.

I personally think this could happen if DeCosta was named the new GM, IMHO.

The Bad Guy 12-30-2008 04:50 PM

What I can guarantee is that Shanahan wouldn't grade himself a "C" for a 2-14 season.

NaptownChief 12-30-2008 04:50 PM

Definitely confirmed on ESPN....The master of passing the blame to everyone but himself has finally been let go. This might kill the tanning bed business in Denver.

His problem is the defense. He's like a younger crooked Dick Vermeil. Solid offense, horrible defenses.

The only way He would be a good HC for us would be if there was a strong GM that did not allow him to make any decisions for the defensive side of the ball.

He has proven over the last 3 years that he is no better at fielding a decent defensive team than we have been.
