It's definitely Pitt and UConn 1 and 2 now, and then a various number of teams from 3-6 (UNC, OU, MSU, Memphis?).

I was having a hard time thinking Memphis would move up to 3, and with MSU losing, I figured OU might stick around 4 or 5. I've been down on the Big East in the past, but I agree that it should be Pitt and UConn right now.

Collins is too short to play NBA basketball, he's way better off staying all 4 years.

Aldrich would obviously continue to improve at Kansas, but he can do that in the NBA, too, so I guess I could see him leaving. Collins has reached his potential at Kansas, but I don't pay enough attention to the NBA to know where he would go in the draft. So, hopefully Aldrich will want to be the man at Kansas for at least another year and the NBA will say no to Collins. :)

The NBA doesn't need 5'10 PG/SG types like Collins. But I think they could use Aldrich.

KU will be getting the one seed. :D

Self is doing too good of a job of recruiting blue chip talent. We didn't have that problem with Roy. Only Gooden left early that I remember. Dammit Bill :cuss:

Gottlieb said he was more impressed with OU because of what they did Griffen-less than Pitt or UConn, because "could you see Pitt winning that game without Blair?"... and it sounds like he's getting off the UNC bandwagon.

Interesting comments, giving the Big 12 some props over the best of the Big East and ACC. :hmmm:

No I couldn't see Pitt winning at UCONN w/o Blair. Jst like OU didn't win tonight.

I'm not sure what Gottlieb was trying to say. It was one game. And if Griffin were lost for any long duration, they'd struggle and probably collapse.

Like when Cinci collapsed when Kenyon Martin blew his knee out in the C-USA tourney 10 years ago.

He's too much of a Big 12 homer...though Willie Warren is pretty damn good.

Yeah, and it's strange since Texas isn't even ranked (I was really surprised that almost everyone picked Texas in the pregame). It seemed like he was trying to get around to saying OU was tougher than Pitt, but come on... UConn/Pitt was all about toughness.

I was hoping to get a good feel for OU, or as much as you can in one game, but I'm just as clueless about KU/OU than I was before the game.

Yeah, he's seemingly become arrogant for some reason. Funny MU fans.

And to think, 4 months ago he proclaimed basketball was a sport nobody cared about, besides KU and UNC fans of course.

MU basketball. A tradition since February '09.
