So what? He's here and has done nothing except answer your attacks on his livelihood. It's all good when it's you calling everybody else out, but somebody does it to you and cry like a little girl.

Here's a thought - why don't you shut the **** up, you hateful old bastard. Nobody gives a shit what you used to have - now you don't have a pot a piss in and I'm sick of you ripping on everybody else just because you're jealous that they do.

I thought that too, I have some bad rep on there but not for this thread.

Funny, a dirty Raider fan being cordial and a couple of guys on here can't take it. Heh.

Eh, You guys are misguided with your chosen team, but I am a guest on this forum as an opposing team fan (hated rival) But I promise you I hate the Chiefs as much as any one here hates the Raiders but we will leave it to the guys on the field making millions.

I live in NC and this whole deal of hate started with a handful of KU fans (just a handful) that has glass vaginas and could not take razzing from a UNC fan.... I like KU as long as they are not playing UNC, they are a great school.

Some people take things too seriously, I am just here to have fun, chat with the 99% of the good people and ignore the morons.

I don't expect to be treated good, I am seen as the enemy to some. I love to see the Raiders kick your asses til your nose bleeds but I am not going to jump off a bridge when they don't.

I agree, it's pull out all the stops time
I would quit paying unsecured debt to start with, I don't think they can take your primary residence even in bankruptcy as long as the mortgage is up to date.

I would stop making payments on everything I owed and the house would be last, You can dodge the repo man for months if you have a friend down the road a half mile

What do you have that you actually have paid for Skip with that major salary you earn running cable wires under houses?

Have you even got your trailer paid for yet Skip?

You know...the more you type the more arrogant you seem to be. And the more you brag, the more it makes you look like a fake.

I came into this thread because I was hoping that someone had given Dayze some good information. It appears that Mr. Flopnuts has covered that admirably...and about all you've done is brag. Instead of taking a crap and wiping it in everyone's face, how about eating a little humble pie.

You have the right to your opinion, but everything I have posted here is true... It would be kinda funny though if I was up to my butt cheeks in debt and was telling everybody here I was debt free to make me feel good.

I feel ya dawg, there are people who do stuff like that on the internet but I started this scam on this thread on 04/03 and I continued the scam on this thread 04/29.

Sorry I came off as arrogant to you, and you are not the only person who has acted this way since I have become debt free, in real life and on the internet. Some people hate success for others, they all want it for themselves, but thats not me, to fix a problem you have to identify it.

vailpass 09-18-2009 05:38 PM

Why is it so hard for people to understand that a car is an expense, not an investment?
Drive what you like/what suits your needs/ what you can afford to pay for that expense.

Oh, and new cars smell goooooooood.

I am happy for you that you are debt free...for that you should be congratulated.

But if you were ever in debt up to your ass it's pretty hypocritical to come in here and brag. You lecture people on the evils of debt when in reality you were once in their predicament. It's like seeing former alcoholics go to a bar and party and seeing them lecture people on the evils of drinking....makes it pretty hollow.

I am happy for your "success", especially if you measure yours in dollars. But for me....success comes in a whole different fashion.

That smell is actually a toxic combination of chemicals emanating from the vinyl and plastics in the interior of the car. And yes, I hate it when people refer to cars as "investments", O'Reilly's does it all the time on their commercials and it makes me want to kick my radio.

Thats cool, I am not lecturing it's common sense, don't spend more than you make. The reason I am telling this is to hopefully prevent someone from doing it, and yes I have been up to my ass in debt and I don't want to see anyone do that.
See this is the problem, America lives and worships the FICA score, it's a way for people who have no money to buy things that they can't afford and should not own.

If you make 30k a year, you should not have a 250k house or a 40k SUV, it's plain dumb but just because someone says hey, you got the credit and we can put you in it, they jump right in as if that creditor is doing THEM a favor..

Call it bragging if you want, but it's not, I made the decision and did it on my own and it don't take a dime out of your pocket either way, nor does it take a dime out of mine if someone is butt cheek deep in debt.

Most could care less about being debt free and will spend every dime they make and be broke on pay day, this man wants to be debt free, he said so in many posts in this thread and if I can point him in the direction to help him get there, it's a good thing.

When an alcoholic is trying to quit, do you give him only a little bit of beer and string him along or do you help him stop.

You don't lose everything you have because of debt with the mindset of doing the same exact thing and expecting a different result.

My best friend is a miser who saves ever penny he can. We bought new cars at roughly the same time back in the late 90s - he recently, finally sold that car (a hideous little 4-door forest green Saturn), and I'm on my sixth different one.

Of course, he got wiped out when the stock market went to shit. Now he wishes he'd blown the money on new cars. :D

A couple of questions....

When you were in debt up to your ass, did you want some arrogant asshole helping you, or someone who had been there and was helpful in guiding you? ( I am guessing if you are honest you would want the latter not the former)

Are you a disciple of Dave Ramsey?
