I thought Hurt Locker was very good. Avatar, while groundbreaking wasn't cinematic gold IMHO. I guess if you see BP as a true achievement and innovation award, it was worth, but beyond that the story nor acting were worthy.

I loved the Hurt Locker but it doesn't hold Avatar's jock strap

Poor James will have to sleep with his 2.5 billion tonight instead of an Oscar.

Bigelow got the statue. Cameron got a couple hundred million dollars.

3D does not equate to Academy Award. that is the only thing that movie brought to the table.

Sandra Bullock just won a ****ing Oscar?

Are you mother****ing serious?

This is why I pirate movies from Netflix.

Avatar was basically a remake. It won where it should have. The visual effects were awesome, but the story has been done more than once.

The same can be said for Star Wars, which also didn't win the Academy.

Hurt Locker = Charles Woodson

Avatar = Peyton Manning

I haven't seen either movie, but too many people thought about this too long.
