Not to be a dick, but seriously, if you watched the whole game, the Packers were doing diddly, and they would've had the ball at near the 20 anyway after the FG. There is no reason to believe they even get to mid-field.

And no, this wasn't directed towards you, dbosho, just using your post as an example.

You might be right, but in a defensive struggle there is a HELL of a big difference between up 2 points and up 5.

You know that he doesn't need to "lose" the ball as in cease all contact with it right? He only needs to lose control of it, which he had clearly done before his foot LANDS out of bounds. Sorry, but that is unquestionably a fumble. Look at GoChiefs' picture -- his foot is NOT down and the ball is clearly exiting stage left...

I'm 99.9% sure that's still a touchback. The ball doesn't need to land "in" the end zone to be a touchback.

All it has to do is cross the plane of the goal line (which it did) and then go out of the end zone. He had clearly lost control of the ball before he stepped out of bounds.

To me I can't tell 100% of the ball goes inside or outside of the pylon. I don't think the call could be over turned.

I'm not sure about that ruling, myself. I know in this instance, its would be difficult to overturn a call if the ball doesn't land in the EZ and to be certain that it broke the plane of the goalline.

That would have been the question.

I honestly don't see any evidence that can establish whether or not the ball crossed inside or outside the pylon. As such, I don't see how they could've given possession to GB.

Ultimately, however, they'd have had to make a ruling on where to spot the football, so it would have been something of a blind guess either way.

I'm glad he didn't challenge, but I'm not entirely certain he'd have won it.

Nice work by Gilberry (first gif) and Bailey (2nd gif) sucking up double teams and getting a decent movement in the middle.

I guess from that angle you guys might be right. But momentum was heading out of bounds. Hard to believe that the ball didn't at least cross the pylon. I'd say it's like 99% probable that it did cross the goal line, but from the angle GoChiefs posted, you can't say for sure.

Tough to say whether he's overall better than Cassell in just one game but I think it's safe to say he's miles ahead of Palko.

I thought there was an angle from the game that showed that it did go inside the pylon. I'm not sure though.

it doesn't count when it's on your own team, you've taught us that!
