Just a teeth doctor.

But I do know from previous experience, that you can do mechanical manipulation of the knee to determine if there is any structural damage, but an MRI is used for these determinations.

You don't think a professional sports medical team was competent enough to conduct this mechanical manipulation?

Oh I'm sure they did.

I'm just stating that if there was any sign that he had a torn ligament, he shouldn't have been sent back onto the field.

I frankly doubt they would have. But it's all conjecture by anyone at this point.

I dunno why ppl are so worried about him being in a walking boot. It could turn out to be nothing. The 1st game is a long way away. Back in college I had classes with many football players who were in boots on Thursday and played Saturday. They pretty much put you in a boot for tons of minor injuries nowadays to help you heal faster.

I bet, (like I said 5 times in the game thread) it was a stinger or atleast thats what it sounds like.

I played SS in high school, was 6"2 185, thought I was a badass, loaded up in the box and took on a guy going about 5"10 230, playing fullback. Ended up with a stinger. Felt like my shoulder was a foot lower on the right than the left, hurt like hell.

After about a week, I was back to pretty much 100%. I know it's not the same level of play, but anyway

Stingers hurt like shit. Sounds like with the treatment they are giving it, thats what happened.

Cmon man. Use your brain, not your heart.

There is no "rehab" for a stinger.

This is a real injury and I don't expect Lewis back till after the bye at the earliest.

actually, they are required to accurately report all injuries on the weekly injury reports.

BB has always cheated around that, though.

Has Nightfyre always been this angry? Or just when it comes to Clay? During the CP Mock Draft the dude was laughing and joking around with all of us.

Then again, draft season IS the best ****ing time of the year.

Exactly. The first thing you should do if you aren't healing in a joint is to immobilize it.

This.

I'm gonna wait until the week prior to the Falcons game before I start running and screaming.

I am sick of Clay. He is worse than worthless. His absence from this board would be addition by subtraction.

Actually, there is some rehab. Just heal for a little bit, then the "rehab" is mostly just getting range of motion back.

Nope.

I've been saying since the get go that "if this were serious, he would be in a walking boot"

Well....

O.city 08-20-2012 03:55 PM

I just don't understand why, if it is in fact that bad, you let him to back a try and practice day after day?
