I was more of a Royals fan as a kid but, the cops would give us Chiefs trading cards when we were out riding our bikes or skateboards. I guess that started it all.

Cool, I live in Kissimmee. I assume you will also be at the Chiefs vs Bucs game in October?
|
You're born into it obviously. Nobody would wish this on themselves.

Punishment for being born.

I was born with a  birthmark on my right arm.

I do like how the OP says "end up a Chiefs fan" instead of "become a Chiefs fan".
lol I often question how I 'ended up' being a fan many, many times. |
I was over on Guam, in 1970 when the news came that the Chiefs had won SBIV. Saw it on armed forces TV a few months later and got hooked, even though I had no idea what a first down was yet.

Oh, I wasn’t being inflammatory (hopefully it didn’t come across that way). I just realize that I often use the same ‘ended up’ phrase.
I ended up being one after my oldest brother took my older brother and I to a game around 1984 I think. We sucked, stadium was empty; entire upper deck was empty;.. cold ass winter day, and we moved around the upper deck throughout the day to stay in the sun to be a little warmer. |

I was born that way.
I didn't have a "moment" or any other reason. I loved football from the second I was born. As I got older (around 6) I started watching the games and trying to understand. I had a great grasp and understanding of football from a very young age. My coaches in elementary school always loved how I understood the game so well at such a young age. The Chiefs were just destined to be part of my life from the beginning. Football is all I know. |
I was born here
