Another interesting tidbit I got from tonight. Danni Boatwright was a co-host so naturally Casey is there. Guess who has been in touch asking if he wants to come snap to Cassel? He told me, "They have a lot more problems than a 39 year old center will help." Then we talked about how much real talent they have on paper and how it's ridiculous that they're 1-6. Had a real nice chat for a few minutes before I excused myself. Good old Iowa boy.

Interesting. They worked him out a few weeks ago, right? And he would consider playing? And Lilja is snapping them into the dirt?

Well, yeah. I honestly usually think the fans show more wisdom than the owners/GM, but the problem is on this forum I see people seriously discussing Cowher/Gruden/Holmgren as options. If any of them are the answer then we are asking the wrong question.

I didn't get the feeling he was even seriously considering the Chiefs. He did confirm he hasn't filed any retirement paperwork. Would you want to come back to 9 games to get blown up up in the middle for a few hunnet thou when you cakin patna?

I would have to agree. I think Clark had the right idea in Pioli/Haley, he just had the wrong guys. At this point I'm not sure if he had the wrong guy in Haley, because Pioli's incompetence is so ****ing blinding.
