Alex Smith will win maybe 20-25 games for this team. Tops.

Geno is going to blow that way even if he's just an average NFL QB.

Geno isn't going to win dick. Sorry to break that to you.

The Jets were about the worst team for Geno to land in, whereas KC was about the best place for Alex to land too. Advantage Alex.

I asked several friends that are impartial in this argument, and they laughed in my face.

Obvious answer is obvious.

Sweet Daddy Hate 04-30-2013 08:47 AM

What's this "vs"? Geno is a God emerging, and Alex is the Temple jizz-mopper.

While I don't neccessarily agree that Geno will have the better career, I can't help but feel like I am being set up again just like in the 2012 season. Quite a few members on the media stated we would win the division, along with a large contingency of fans. It's going to boil down to coaching, because I don't neccesarily see that this roster has improved by a large margin.

I still can't understand why so many people just HATE Geno Smith.

I think the draft experts constant remarks of him not being Andrew Luck or RG3 has totally unfairly killed his reputation.

I don't think its hate for him. Just push back on some of the more "vocal" members here. Too bad he went to the Jets though.

Because, the things that you heard about him coming out, he didnt attend the senior bowl, for god only knows what reason, he lashed out at the media before even being drafted, he was pouting during the draft, there are questions about him as a player, as in, is he really talented, or the beneficiary of a superior system, and surrounded by superior play makers. Now, after falling in the draft, and not going #1 overrall, he fires his agent. He has done nothing to help himself. If you were clearly the number one qb in this class, he should of taken every opportunity to prove that he was the face of the franchise type. He didnt. Now he will compete with mark sanchez, david garrard, and MATT SIMMS. Think about that for a second.

The Geno Smith draft fallout continues.

Smith
The latest are reports come from Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal and Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, who write that Smith fired his agents at Select Sports just a few days after the NFL draft.

Smith had an awful draft experience on Thursday night. He was in the green room and waited more than three hours for his name to be called. It never happened. Smith stormed out of the green room after the first round. But he returned for Round 2, where he was taken by the New York Jets with the No. 39 overall pick.

Entering the draft some questioned Smith's maturity. Firing his agents before he throws an NFL pass will add to some of those questions. According to the Daily News, Smith thought he could be the No. 1 overall pick, which turned out to be a pipe dream. By firing his agents, it gives off the impression that Smith is blaming his agents for his stock falling in the draft.

Smith, who will compete for the starting job in New York, must wait five days before hiring his next agent.
Possibly Q.

Yep. vaGeno proved with his behavior draft weekend and by firing his agents that he isn't in possession of the maturity needed to run a franchise yet.

It will be interesting to see if vaGeno is going to act like a man at some point and forget this obsession he apparently had with his draft stock, stow his apparently fragile ego, and learn to play QB in the NFL.

Bingo. Anyone who questioned him character before the draft was tarred and feathered.
